This cache is placed on Bodmin Moor, not far from Kilmar Tor. The walk crosses open moorland & gives great views of the nearby Tors. The name dates from the 13th century when most of the area was owned by Launceston Priory & was divided between 12 tenant farmers.
The cache is on open-access land so there are several routes in. The suggested route though is to drive to Minions & follow the minor lane round to Sharp Tor. There is a small roadside parking spot at - N50` 31.869 W004` 27.566. Walk a short way up the track & pass through the gate off to the right at - N50` 31.924 W004` 27.666. Continue along the footpath which climbs up Sharp Tor & out onto open moorland at the top. From here you cross open grassland directly to the cache. The walk is a bit boggy in places so wear suitable boots.
You are hunting for a smallish plastic box hidden in an area of old quarried stone.
The cache was originally listed on Navicache in March 2008.
