Take your
binoculars. You only need to look up to see where the Peregrines have
their nest high over the Wye near Symonds Yat. You are at the bend in
the Wye with tall cliffs and the Symonds Yat rock observation platform
above. Yet you are in a tranquil area between woods and open meadow,
next to the Wye.
This cache is just off the Wye Valley Walk, and can be part of several
circular walks - from Lydbrook, from Huntsham Bridge, or down the ridge
of Coppett Hill.
You can only
park about 3km away. Park nr. Huntsham bridge and walk along the river
path, or at Goodrich and walk along the Coppett Hill ridge to the
southern end.
The cache was set up for the Coppett Hill Geocaching festival - 30th
June 2012. The land is owned by the Coppett Hill Trust, on whose behalf
the festival is organised.
