Sharphill Wood
Sharphill wood is two miles south of Nottingham on the border of West Bridgford and Edwalton.
It is a Local Nature Reserve (LNR), the land is owned by Rushcliffe Borough Council, and managed by them together with Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust and the Friends of Sharphill Wood.
There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen here all through the year, in spring it is particularly alive with young birds and the ground is carpeted with bluebells.
You can access the wood by walking through The Spinney (a small gravel track) half way up Loughborough Rd near the turning off to Boundary Rd, from the A52 near the Ruddington Island, or from the public footpath leading from Peveril Drive.
