It is expected that this cache will normally be done in conjunction with OK02F9 Fort Darnett - please see that cache page for a description of the fort and its history, launch points and parking places.
To reach this cache you will have to portage your canoe or dinghy a short distance across the island and relaunch it in the moat. The cache, a preform tube with a bison capsule inside, is hidden in an embrasure in the moat wall. Edited to say that the original cache is in an embrasure in which a small tree is growing. But on a maintenance visit we saw a bird's nest in this location, so have placed a second cache 2 embrasures closer to the moat launch point. The co-ordinates have been updated, but for obvious reasons we have not removed the first cache.
If your boat is low enough, you will also be able to take it right inside the fort and paddle around the flooded magazine level.
