The purpose of the “Lest we forget….” series is to take a moment out of our busy lives to remember those who fell fighting for our country. This series, started by ‘Bearded Zombie’, is exclusive to Opencaching.uk
The memorial is set in small garden at junction of Gladstone Road and Victoria Road opposite Deal Castle. It is a pillar of irregular cemented blocks of stone topped with a plain slab. The dedication bronze plaques are on the front and it is set in a small garden against a wooden slat fence. There is a brass crest of Burma Star Association mounted on the top bronze plaque.
