Description EN
Park at N50° 25.986 W004° 06.685 then cross the main road to the start of the path at N50° 25.956 W 004° 06.673.

Follow the trail down and when you reach N50° 25.847 W004° 06.354 you
cross what was once the trackbed of the Plymouth and Dartmoor Railway.
This was opened in 1823 and had an unusual gauge of 4'6" which became
known as the "Dartmoor" gauge.

Carry on down and you pass through West, Darklake and Common Woods
before you reach the River Plym after passing under the magnificent
viaduct which carried the South Devon and Tavistock Railway across the
valley. The track above now forms part of the West Devon Way and it's
worth the climb up to see the views and to appreciate the work which
went into the building of these viaducts.

The cache is a clip lock box and contains a few swaps and a log book.
It is under the viaduct so if you walk here along the WDW you will have
a scramble down the bank to the cache. It's quite possible you will get
wet feet looking for this one, how wet depends on how much rain we have
had.

This cache used to be listed on Terracaching.com but has now been archived. If you have already found it you may, if you wish, log it as found.
