The Highest Cache in Southern England
As this cache is within the Okehampton Military Range please check http://www.dartmoor-ranges.co.uk/index.html before setting out to find this cache. Even if the firing notice is "Nil" i.e. clear to access - DO NOT pick up anything that may be discarded ordnance.
Park at N50 42.490 W004 02.299 - Meldon Dam Car Park (Toilets available)
Cross the dam, and set off South-East towards the rocky outcrop of High Willhays - about 4 kilometres of rough Dartmoor away.
Once there you will almost certainly think that Yes Tor, about 800 metres north, is higher than High Willhays - I always do. Trust me, my GPS, and the Ordnance Survey, High Willhays is 2 metres HIGHER than Yes Tor. High Willhays is in fact the highest point in in England south of the Peak District.
