At one end of Windsor Racecourse is a small, overgrown island.
The rowing events for the London 2012 Olympics took place at Dorney Lake, which is immediately opposite the island. There was a temporary footbridge from the racecourse to the Olympic venue.
There are a couple of places on the island you can moor a 25-30ft boat. Or, like Sandvika you could use a collapsible boat. But unlike Sandvika, try to find one that collapses when you want it to, when you have finished, rather than halfway across. Or you could swim, but will need something on your feet in order to cross the island afterwards, due to the undergrowth and nettles.
The cache is difficult to spot - not to make it hard for cachers to find, but to prevent non-cachers finding it. My GPSr reception was poor due to the tree cover. Take the hint and the spoiler photo with you.
There is also a 5/5 Groundspeak cache on the island, and a TerraCache.
