Opis EN
Inspired by "Wacky Willow" - a cache hidden by Elvi5uk, and now archived, and also taking inspiration from "Something Fishy" - a cache hidden by Crazy Gang, and now archived.

When I began caching, Elvi5uk's were some of the very first caches I found. They may not have been the most brilliant of caches, but in the beginning almost every cache is somewhat "magical". Given the paucity of caches near where we live, I felt the urge to resurrect Elvi5uk's archived caches. In most cases, they have received a wee tweak, and once the Elvi5 series has been completed, there is a brand, spanking new (bonus) cache to find.

Wacky Willow took me down a path I never knew existed. I wanted to go further, but the cache didn't take me further, and at the time the company I was keeping didn't share my desire. As the Elvi5uk caches were archived over time, I had always planned to set my version of this cache - yet it was always put on the backburner. Always the bridesmaid, and never the bride...

By the time I found Wacky Willow, the Something Fishy cache had already been archived - and I knew of it only from its mention in the description of the Elvi5uk cache. The two were more or less at opposite ends of the same walk, but didn't necessarily encourage a cacher to walk the entire route. I suspect more often than not, each were found as separate cache and dashes.

So...in order to make the walk a little longer, here are Wacky Willow and Something Fishy if there were one cache and not two - Something Wacky (Fishy Willow?).

The posted co-ordinates are very approximate from Google Earth, but should be sufficient for you to work out the start of the public footpath through Mildenhall's Jubilee Fields. From the beginning of the path, you will pass a number of seats. Some of these seats have memorial plaques, some have not - and some have more than one plaque. Some of the memorial plaques have numbers, some have not. As you pass the seats on the way to the cache (don't worry - there are less seats than you have digits to count them on!), you will need to pay attention so that you are able to ascertain:

  • What is the number of seats? This is A
  • What is the number of plaques? This is B
  • What is the number of seats with plaques? This is C
  • What is the number of seats with plaques, but without numbers? This is D
  • What is the number of seats with plaques, and with numbers on those plaques, but which do not contain a zero? This is E

You should now have sufficient information to find the cache at N 52° 20 (A-B)(E+E)(B-D) and E 00 31° (A-D)(C+D)(B-C-D). You can then make this your walk into a loop, by continuing into Barton Mills, and heading down the street for some distance until you reach a footpath taking you back to the beginning of your walk. Along the way you can find another OC, the Holy and the Ivy.

(GS caches along the route are Down by the river 3, 1 and 2.)
