Beschrijving EN

St. Ann's Hill is a pleasant woodland area near Chertsey, with a great variety of deciduous and evergreen trees. There are many paths through the trees, and some nice views, though regrettably the noise from the nearby M3 and M25 motorways is ever present.

The cache takes you to some lovely and/or interesting views from the top of the hill.

Stage 1: At the listed co-ordinates you will see a balustrade, beyond which is a steep drop.

5 of the sections are supported by pillars. How many pillars are there in the middle section (include the half pillars at each end as if they are full pillars). This is A.

Behind you is a seat. How many letters in the second word? This is B.

Stage 2: Visit the beacon at N51 23.959 W000 31.604

On which month in 2012 was the beacon lit by Cllr. Linda Gillham? This is C.

The last digit of the year in which the beacon was lit to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the sighting of the Great Armada is D.

Subtract the year the beacon was lit by Cllr. Peggy Broadhead from the year it was lit by Cllr. Frances Barden. This is E.

How many letters in the rank of the Royal British Legion representative who lit the beacon on the 50th anniversary of VE day? This is F.

The cache is at N51 23.ABC W000 31.DEF

The checksum of the letters A to F is 41.

The final location is on a moderately steep slope, good footwear is an advantage.

Summary:

Interesting location? In parts.
One of a series? No.
Cache trail? No.
Unusual hide? No - but on a fairly steep slope.
