I've often walked along this stretch of canal for caching trips and just to cross the city centre and avoid some of the roads, it's a great resource in the city that could do with some cleaning up at times but is always worth a visit. I did have a bad cold a couple of weeks ago, but am relatively healthy right now so I had a improvise on the photo. Also spotted a nice horse and fox sculpture just a little further along the towpath. Thanks for the cache.

I had known there was a virtual in the city.  But I hadn't realised it was here.
If I  had. I would have done it the other day while I was setting up the Beacon of Hope one, a short distance away.

Dipping all the trackables (from various websites ) for mileage.

Photo taken, which I will upload when I figure out how.

I was full of snot, so I thought it was a good opportunity to come here to blow my nose.

My "handkerchief" is a bunch of tissues that I took off the train into town.

I was visiting Manchester with one of the Young Hornets to see Watford play Man Utd in the last game of the season se we decided to do a spot of caching while we were here (as you do!).

I had spotted this virtual, so decided to come and have a look at it. Having made our way to gz, past a couple of workmen who were jet washing the towpath, I then read the cache description to find out what we needed to do.

Now, I may be getting on a bit, but I don't use a hanky. The modern man (although I'm not quite that) uses napkins or tissues and I do generally have a couple in my pocket, so attached is a photo with my favourite 'hanky' which just happened to come from McDonalds!

Headed down to GZ with Ting Tong while out in town. The area was deserted. We waited to see if Stella turned up but no joy so grabbed a couple of photos before heading on our way. Thanks for bringing us to this place you like so much.

Hopefully will be able to get down to this tomorrow evening while in town, If Stella is on the tiles in town maybe we could all get together for a beer or babycham.
