Oops, just got an auto reminder email which prodded me about leaving this unavailable for so long ...

The (very nice) muggle workman said he replaced the box where I asked him to, but due to the extended lockdown here in the plague city I've been unable in good conscience to drive out and check it is where it should be myself. So It might be by the next post along fromwhere your GPS says, but should be hidden as per the hint.

It was reported to me that the cache had possibly been collected up by a workman tidying the site a couple of weeks ago. Being lovely people the accidental finder went to the trouble of contacting opencache, and Amberel passed the message on to me. I just got in touch, and they hope to replace the box at the end of the week when working there again , which is very kind.

I'll re-enable the cache next weekend, but if you search for4 it, please be aware it may not be in exactly the right spot : the workman has the hint and a pic. off google maps to help, but he isn't a geocacher (yet ... )

Meanwhile, if you live in the area and need a handyman, I can refer you to a good one

I found the Naseby Windmill cache on the way up to Nottingham on Wednesday, and now this one on the way back south again today:-). This was a nice little cache and I enjoyed the themed swaps:-)There was quite a lot of rubbish around, very close to the cache, so I gathered up the largest items and stuffed them in my campervan's outside locker to dispose of at home.

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy

I had a bit of time to kill this morning, so decided it was about time I christened my Opencache account with a trip out to this little group of caches. This was my first stop and as I pulled up, so I noticed another vehicle parked at the entrance. Fortunately it was unoccupied and the owner was nowhere to be seen, so I was able to quickly grab the cache. With the log signed and the cache replaced as found, I took a wander over to the viewpoint for a brief history lesson before heading off to the next one. TFTC

I must admit that is has been years since I looked on the open caching site - so I was pleased when the CO gave me a heads up that she had set a few local open caches :-)

This one is very near where I work - so I made a mini detour on my way home for a look...

I pulled up at this familiar location (one of the first ever caches I found was a Starzbars puzzle here) and soon found the cache:-)I then went for a quick look at the great view and tried to imagine how Prince Rupert (such an interesting character) must have felt at the time.

Good one! Thanks Heather

FTF 1.30p.m., whoopee, the cup of coffee and eccles cake proved very rewarding! Co-ords spot on and the sun was shining, what could be better. Thanks Hal-an-Tow for placing the cache.
