I had just done the nearby groundspeak cache and wanted to climb more.
This was my favourite climb of the day, a lovely tree, as a resuscitation too
Thanks

Our second opencaching tree climb of the day, and of the two I preferred this one as it was far less busy (just one jogger passed us) and the pot was larger.

Wizbit100 and myself discussed the rope placement and we weren't in complete agreement about the best anchor. I put the line up really high, way above the cache, in a Vee that had a pretty much vertical straight line right down to the ground. I used this to fetch the cache down, and while I was up there I put a throw line into an alternative location of Wizbit''s choosing, a smaller limb but the rope passing over two separate limbs. As usual I made a rather clumsy meal of doing it, but got there in the end smile. Wizbit then pulled the rope over into a new location and used that placement to put the container back again smile.

An excellent cache, good location and a high climb, earns the c/o a second TOP CACHE geocoin (visit link for details) in the one day!

Thanks for the cache,

 Rgds, Andy

First to find after another ground speak easy trad FTF nearby.  Had been told about this rather than the seen on my notifications that happens with ground speak.  The sooner Mr Cross can write an app for iOS that shows these the better.

Anyway arrived and am already knackered having carried most of my kit up the hill.  Cache soon spotted but the route to it not so obvious.  I had a few throws and got nowhere so rigged up big shot.  Second go Roseysaurus had it in what appeared to be the perfect place.  Set ropes, wriggled into harness and up I started.

Then about half way up I noticed the rope was not placed through in such a way I would reach the cache.   Nor was I now happy it could take my substantial load ;-)

After a while to collect myself I carried on and then now I got my lanyard sent up.   Who would have known this was my first time using my lanyard in vengeance.

Woohooo.   Cache signed and replaced and down I flew.  Relieved.   Favouriting went on but I now have no more left in open caching.   Ooops.
