Well it took a while longer for our lightbulb moment to crack this puzzle that has been haunting us for weeks. Actually it was on New Year's Day when Mrs H was terribly hung over from the partying of the night before, and as she was sitting at the computer wondering what new question to ask Mr G in an attempt to find an answer, through the fuzziness the little nudge the CO had given us registered in her brain. That was it, everything fell into place

So we have been waiting this week while Storms Uncle Tom Cobley and All have passed by to go and find the cache. Today the weather seemed a bit better so off we went. No sooner had we stepped out the car and the rain started again, but no matter we were on a mission. Once at GZ a lovely sized box was soon found. The log was signed and everything replaced as found.

Mrs H met Mr H when she was sixteen and still at school, so any thought of a glittering career (if ever there was one) was soon forgotten.

Thank you Heather for a great puzzle, sorry that it takes us such a long time to sort things out.

Well done Didz, you beat the other solvers who were also stuck where you were , and were given the same little nudge to mull over at Christmas!

To give everyone the same chance with the puzzle, I've updated the description to incorporated that tiny extra bit of info. and also  amended the checksum 'cos I can't add up, apparently ...

 FTF :-)

I made good progress on this when it was first published but then hit a brick wall on the final part. I learnt some interesting and amusing information researching various different ideas (always a good part of puzzle solving!) but they didn’t help with getting the coordinates... eventually the CO sent me an extra hint and soon the penny dropped (so elegantly simple a child could have done it!) and the CO kindly confirmed my coordinates were correct :-)

I wasn’t able to escape to find it on Christmas Day but I needed a walk this morning to try and burn off yesterday’s over indulgences - so I took a trip here with the dog this morning, it was a pleasant walk in the sunshine and I soon found the good sized cache :-)

Many thanks Heather for an excellent puzzle cache

PS. When I was a child I wanted to be a zoo keeper when I grew up - wasn’t a million miles from what I ended up doing (at home and at work!)
