We walked around Portland Bill and found all the stages but one - the signs for the nature trail are missing. The CO kindly let us log a find here, although we had to work a little harder to figure out the anagram/password in order to log the cache due to having two fewer letters than required! Portland Bill was gorgeous, as usual. We stopped at a pop up campsite on the island for a long weekend - so we enjoyed breathtaking views for several days. Just the way we like it! Thanks for the Virtual! We love them! And thanks for our first OpenCache.

Time to do this cache which, for some reason, has been sort of ignored by me, despite the fact that I have been here many times since the cache was set up.

Mrs DJ decided we should visit this area today, well the Weymouth area! I thought hmm, good opportunity to have a look around here and possibly grab an open cache at the same time. Info was quickly found for all stages, with it being not too busy today --but would imagine a place to avoid during peak season. We enjoyed a nice flat stroll along the coast and were very intrigued with the lawn sheds.. pretty unique is this arrangement.  Many thanks for setting this virtual up HR.. cheers DJ

This was the cache that drew me to Portland Bill today. It's been on my to do list ever since it was published, but I've always had something closer to home to find. Given the weather forecast for today, I decided I'd pay it a visit, along with a few other nice caches. When I arrived, there was hardly anyone around, but I wasn't surprised given the fact it was wet, and so I headed off to the Lighthouse, which I must say is a very noisy Lighthouse with its fog signal blasting away for 4 seconds, every 30 seconds, I can assure you it's very loud when stood at the base of the Lighthouse. Next stop was the interesting Trinity House Obelisk, built in, well I cannot say, you'll need to visit to find out, but the CO knows. The next waypoint I found myself looking at the wrong information initially, only because I didn't pay attention to what was being asked here, attention to detail CT, attention to detail. Then onto Pulpit Rock, this was my favourite part of this Virtual. Getting down to the rock was a bit of a task, ensuring I didn't slip, then there were large waves crashing against the rocks so I had to be mindful of this, and to avoid getting washing into the sea. The information at this waypoint was obtained. It has been many many years since I was last here, in fact I think I've only ever visited once before. This is an interesting Virtual which I enjoyed very much.
