It was found laying on the ground upside down really wet about 100 m away from GZ

I was unable to safely return it due to carrying a heavy bag and being in a hurry so I left it at

Both myself and Mrs NSCR had a rare day off together and decided to go for a wonder picking up the nearby geo.com wherigo cache

This is the first opencache that Mrs NSCR has gone hunting for and while i was scrabbling around on top of the rock she had gone for a wonder and found it!

Bonus info noted before we signed ourselves in the log book!

Thanks for another opencache. Hopefully we will get a few more this year!

As we were out this way today remembered there was an opencache up here. We found four letterboxes before eventually finding this one. Plenty of "extra" visitors to this one - as not sure if it was in the right position. We hopefully have returned to right place. If you are out this way maybe you should check that this is the place you intended. Have noted the information! Tftc

Found after a brief search on a cloudy afternoon.

Apologies for the very late log - making a determined effort to rectify our lax logging on Opencaches!

Not an early start today as weather was a bit iffy, however only 3 other cars in car park on arrival so the "overall Hound Tor experience" wasn't too bad at all today. Cache in good order, many thanks.. different story on return -ram packed and the smell of burgers in old fat.

This was my last cache of the day after an unsuccessful trip to try and grab FTF on a GC.com cache not too far away. I spent a while at the wrong level spotting the letterbox about three times before trying another approach and making an easy find. Bonus info has been noted in case I get around to finding the other feeder caches one day. TFTC

Had earmarked the two open caches needed for the 2018 challenge, and as still not 100 per cent felt this should be OK. Left Tavvy in the sun. From Princetown on cloudy, and same at Hound Tor.  So many people everywhere parked on the moor, of course Sunday. OK back to cache, quickly spotted as completely on view, so have put it behind on the shelf.

Came up a little late this morning and saw two geomobiles in the carpark. Doh! Weather had cleared up a bit but it was very wet all over with rivers running down the roads. Walked on up and soon found the cache. Not a blank log book, but we expected nothing less so a second to find was good enough for us today. Signed it up and jotted down the clue numbers for the final bonus. Then we decided that abseiling to the next one down THAT STEEP HILL in the mud would not be a pretty sight or rather especially the trip back up so we went back to the car and drove round to Haytor carpark for the assault on the next cache in this series. Joint FTF with Angelaobscura and heartradio

The last couple weeks we decided to finalise the secret plan to launch our visit to Dartmoor in order to seek out the New Years Day caches.

Meeting place: Top Secret

Time: Top Secret

We met up at our destination and waiting for the caches to be published, they were, but one just didn't come through immediately.  We patiently waited, and there it was.  With all caches loaded we drove to our desired spot, fully equipped with wet weather gear (although no rain thankfully at this point) we marched off towards GZ.  It wasn't too long before we reached our destination and began searching.  I had found quite a nice place a cache could be hiding, and got myself in there and searched, but this returned nothing.  Heartradio was in a slightly different place searching, when he had announced the cache was found.  The paperwork was carried out and he returned the cache.

Found in the company of The Caching Corgis and Evil Beagles.  Weren't even totally sure earlier in the week if we would be attending the event due to Mrs W having the lurgy and the weather that was forecast - however Mrs W was awake first and busy looking to see where the new caches were.  Decision was made that we were going and were going after them - after having a leisurely breakfast first. Having found the Smallacombe Rocks cache we followed the path down to the stream, crossed over the clapper and set off up the hill the other side.  Definately busier with people over here than it was earlier.  Cache located, log signed and information collected set off once again to meet Mrs W and the rest of the pack.

Out today with heartradio and ChudleighTraveller hoping to complete the New Years challenge caches, we had arranged to meet early doors and head onto the moor once the caches were released. The drive to rendezvous in driving rain was not filling me with confidence and I fully expected to get soaked like last year... We started with the walk up Hound Tor at quite a pace, very wet underfoot but thankfully no rain, only winds to contend with, I was however very glad my chosen footwear was wellies!! heartradio followed his phone straight to the cache to find we were indeed greeted with an empty log book. A nice spot for the cache and a lovely vista through the rocks with some mist in the valley. Many thanks.

It's now firmly ingrained in tradition that on New Year's Day I shall come out on to the moor, find some caches, get a bit wet, and have a cream tea. Today was no exception to the tradition, and some caching buddies and I decided to form a team to do the Challenge. We met at a top secret location, and our first stop was Hound Tor where we parked and headed uphill (!!) to the cache. I soon found it at GZ, bonus info noted and coin taken to move on. Lovely views and there's a nice mist in the valley this morning too.
