My first, first to find, on an open cache, and what an absolute belter of a cache. Quite simply the most terrifying cache experience to date.
Having gotten the first to find on its sister geocache some time back the first climb was not a problem, a pleasant climb up of a modest height into the frame support.
This is where things get exciting.
Unclip, and sloooowly walk the beam, a few metres in I backed off tryi g to ignore the corner vision in my eye of the 45foot drop.
I backed off back to the support, had a chat with myself dried my now sweaty palms and proceeded along the beam.
About half way crossing my legs began to tremble, my hands again were sweating.
Made it to the cross beam and held on far tighter than necessary.
Thankfully then I could reach the cache and sign in.
Dried hands, and ventured back very slowly to the safety of the support, legs by now getting a good shake on.
The scariest cache I've done to date, simply terrifying crossing the beam.
Possibly can be made less intimidating if your a dam fine shot with a big shot and can get line over the mid beam, but I very much doubt you could. Done as did the Co, and I can confirm it's a total pant filler. Cheers Swindon Leys, an absolute classic extreme challenge!!
