Really not the best day for this, heavy overnight rain and still raining lightly now. I would normally free climb this but the wet moss was making things sufficiently slippery that I felt i needed to be supported, so I threw a rope over.

But even that nearly went wrong, the wet moss in the Vee saturated the rope, and the saturated bit moved down the side I was climbing as the rope took up my weight. Then when I came to descend, the GriGri just did not want to move while it was in this saturated part. Had to rerig the ascended and take the weight off the GriGri in order to lower myself past it, onto a drier section.

The cache is a bison, so  high chance the log would be wet. And it turned out to be a bison with no O ring, so a 100% chance it would be wet. And it was.

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy

After my previous visit to this location i this time came armed with reinforcements - my walking buddy "The wanderer". I had not spotted the cache on my first visit.. but this time had it spotted within a few minutes.. with a second person to give a shin-up, and a rope for a rapid descent the cache was soon in hand and signed.. great location, thanks for setting this OC up CT.. cheers

Well, as often is the case when I meet up with dave.johnson, this afternoon took a interesting direction! We went underground, had a abseil, done abit of bridge gymnastics and some tree-mendus climbing!!! Dave gave me a leg up to the first platform before I clambered around and up, in a clockwise spiral direction until I reached eye level with the cache, log is slightly damp but fine. Took the express route down, via the rope, that Dave threw upto me!

As with the previous poster we didn't read the cache page, we did see it though. We will NOT be back, just a little on the high side for us.
