Never found in 6 years. I was coming from east of Lynmouth and heading for Ilfracombe, so there was no way I was going to descend to the partner cache of this one. Here, I thought I might be able to contour around but that proved no good and it was going to be a maze of gorse and so on, so I just couldn't face it. A great location and interesting story though. I hope it's found one day.

Well, what a place! It's been well over a decade since I descended and reascended this wild and lonely combe looking for, and finding, a letterbox. Thanks Dave for the company today, it's been a bit up and down, though, firstly around the Valley of the Rocks and then the Great Hangman followed by a lung buster Holdstone Down after, what were you thinking, bringing a ammo!!! If anyone would like a challenge, I placed a letterbox on Great Hangman many years ago, Dave found it after three attempts, but we drew a blank today!! This was before GPS though!!
