Fourtune smiled on me this week. A few days of stable weather, no live firing on the range and a quiet period at work all combined to give me a chance to take a crack at the Geo Path. I did some of the caches slightly out of order. Having parked in Belstone Village I'd already done the caches along the ridge before heading up to this one. There was a small Army checkpoint on the Tor as part of an exercise, but not near enough to interfere with my search for the cache.

I am pleased to see a number of new caches published on this part of the moor. Open, Geo, who cares, a good hide is a good hide regardless of the website that hosts it. This was a good one to start my partial perambulation of this Geotour even if we did spot a letterbox a minute or so before finding the cache. TFTC

Popped in for this one, it was our last for the day, thanks for bringing us back here again, lovely to be out on the range.

We did a few of these last week and decided we'd do on a few more today and also attempt the Heights AL cache but sadly we discovered the phone had died so we contented ourselves with the walk out to HWH. A few people about today but not as many as expected. many thanks for the cache.

Having been in Cornwall, fighting the crowds for space on the beach (ha ha), it was back to reality and Dartmoor. Mrs W had a cache to replace so Mr W , having found the Geocaches he was able to visit, returned to the car, to pick up another walking pole, and quickly found the cache. It was good that it was not somewhere he was unable to reach. Very quiet up here first thing, just a group who where training Search & rescue dogs, but not for Dartmoor, a bit weird really.

Myself and NSCR had a rare free day together and had decided to head out on to the Moor. Deciding where to go is always difficult. Dartmoor Dave suggested his new series which mainly comprises of open caches. That series is 13 miles long, today I walked 14 miles and only made a small dent in it before we decided to call it a day due to the weather.
Once at GZ it was NSCR that found the cache using the co ords while I was trying to match up the spoiler picture.

The geopath was my main target of the day, though I had a great many "extras" on my list. Having already done one AdLab stage plus one GC cache, this was the first of the GeoPath caches.
After a very warm walk on the east side of the north moor in my shirtsleeves yesterday evening, I thought the most significant weather issue today was going to be stopping my chocolate from completely melting within the fist few minutes.
Not so! Parked up the campervan in thick cloud, with the wind whistling and howling around me. It was to be a damp day in the cloud, with a few light outbreaks of rain, the very good news though was that it never rained hard. And my chocolate didn't melt at all, on the contrary, it was so hard I could hardly get my teeth into it ;-)
Lots of admin to do on this first GP cache, a geocoin and a GeoKret and a couple of bonus numbers to record. I picked up the GeoKret and shuffled it along to the next GP cache.
I have just one single recommendation available (they are difficult to build up on openaching) and as the GeoPath definitely needs one, the first cache seems to be an appropriate place to put it.
Thanks for the cache,
Rgds, Andy

We saw this new geopath mentioned on the devon geocaching FB page and were keen to give it a go. After some advice on there to get us on the correct app we had everything downloaded to give it a go today, well we thought we did, turned out we were several spoiler photos missing!
Found this first one nice and quickly

Well, a new experience for me today. The posting of the Geopath persuaded me to open an Opencaching account....so here I am. Not expecting to go all the way round today so lets see how it goes.
Having found previous caches by this CO I had a good idea of what I was looking for today, and Bingo there t'was. Log signed TFTC

FTF at 10:50
We saw the caches on the GeoPath go live on the website after breakfast and soon loaded all the details into Mr Bb's GPSr.
A steady drive from our holiday accommodation saw Mr Bb parked up and boots on by 10:30.
A slow trudge up from the car park brought me to GZ where it took a little while to spot the cache due to a lack of the technology useful for viewing spoiler pictures in the field.
Pleased to find a blank log-book awaiting our signature!
The was the first FTF of the series, to be followed by FTFs for all the other caches on the GeoPath, except GP24 which remained elusive.
TFTC and the whole Geopath.
