I had had an exceptionally good walk today- and it was only 1530!

I don't know why I headed down here armed with only the co-ords.. eager for some more bonus info, I guess?

Should have done something else as I spent more searching time here than anywjhere else today.

Of course, once at home I discovered I had been here before-I doubt I could have retrieved it today anyway. Next time!!

This cache was one of two I especially came to the area for. GP23 was the other and that was luckily found.

I made my way over to GZ. I came prepared, rain jacket, head torch, towel ..... but when I reached GZ it was clear that this was no go for today. Not sure what I expected ..... the whole area was very much flooded with fast running water. Just as one should expect after all the rain in the last few days.

Never mind. I really like this place. So sat on the wall for a bit and had something to eat. The dogs were running round like maniacs again.

This one will not be forgotten. I will be back during drier times and try again.

What a beautiful location. I loved the way your track got us safely over the water.

I had a break here and then I started looking. I followed the GPS, put my hands into loads of possibilities and not so possible places. Clambered up down left right. Looked twice here and there. But still no luck.

I shall have a look at the archived geocache, maybe there is a spoiler photo (one can hope).

The dogs became like puppies here. They were running and jumping like lambs around the area.

Never mind, about 40 minutes in a beautiful place I would never have seen without a cache. Thank.

Edit: There is a possible picture at the geocache. I am sure I was looking there, but not deep enough. I'll be back.

6671 2023-09-03 09:42 Ecky (user activity105) - Note

On the start of the walk I couldn't find a way over the brook. So I thought I come back at the end. I've tried my way down from the car park, but there was no way around the wall at the water. Ah well. I was hoping this one contained my missing number, but probably not. I shall be back one day.

Because we have been here before we knew exactly where the cache could be found, and we knew where we could cross the brook. Many thanks for the cache.

Last cache of the day and a return to familiar territory so knew where the cache was and soon had it signed.  Hopefully we'll pick up more of the trail over the Summer.  MTFTC

I downloaded a photo from the old archived cache which simplified things once I found a way over to the far side of the stream.

Both caches were found but in a rather muddy state.

Having found every other cache on the GeoPath, I was in a buoyant mood when I arrived here to pick up the last one. An hour later I was a little bit deflated, as a long search, scrambling into the most awkward places, left me with no sign of the cache. The c/o knows that as a rule I'm not in the least bit bothered by a DNF, but there are exceptions to rules and this was one, as it was the only one on the whole GeoPath that I couldn't find.

I went off and found the cache a hundred yards up the hill, but then came back for another 15 minute search here - with the same result. I'm quite sure the cache is there, it was found only a few days ago, it's just too cleverly hidden for me !

well got to confess here that  this one took me by far the longest to spot and to make things worse i had collected the old cache sometime ago and i was sure i knew of its hide still and indeed i did ! so why it took me so long to pull them out of their neat hide i have no clue ,, but surprised to be greeted by the blank log , what a great way to end my excellent adventure today ! Every cache found and signed definitily gets my recommendations

After finishing off our remaining snacks we had a good search about here but did not find the cache. Have really enjoyed this geopath and were chuffed with ourselves for completing it (bar this cache)

Thank you for all the time and effort you must of put into it!

My only failure on the GeoPath and a disappointing end to the day.

Spent a long time going up down and around exploring all possible hiding places, but could have saved myself a lot of time if I'd read the cache page, because I found the Groundspeak cache here back in 2012 and should have concentrated my search there.

I probed that location today but was struck by cache blindness nearing the end of a 14.7 mile walk, unless the caches have been washed away!?

I returned to the car just over ten hours after setting off, and having found 25 out of the possible 26 caches, including five back in April 2016, have "completed" the GeoPath despite the DNF here.

Will have to try again another day!
