Wow! Our first opencache! We were told about open caching a few weeks ago by a friend who we had introduced to geocaching, however, we'd not registered or gone any further with the information. Today we were walking in the area, picking up a couple of geocaches and rounding the point had stopped to take some photos when my other half suddenly asked, "Are you sure there are no other caches in the area?" Having thoroughly checked the gc database I knew that the one we were naving to was it... so suggested that it may be a letterbox. However, it was our first opencache!

Thanks for the find and here's to a whole new world of caching. We did conceal slightly better to protect it from non-cachers.

I last visited this point in 2006 and was looking forward to a return visit today. it was very cold walking down but the cache site was sheltered with fantastic views along the coast. We carried on down to the lighthouse for a look before heading back up to the car for soup and sandwiches.

Great cache, thank you.

I'm logging this in October, having visited the cache during July this year. The weather that day was unseasonably awful and I had repeatedly been soaked as I rode my motor-bike round the south coast of Devon. But finally, as I did this cache late in the day, the rain cleared away and it turned into a pleasant evening.

Despite the dreadful weather, I had been to some great caches today, of which this one was far from being the least, and after re-hiding the cache I just sat and enjoyed the spectacular view for several minutes.

Then off to find a pub for a couple of pints and a big rump steak, and on to my B & B which wasn't so far away.

Thanks for a superb cache,

Rgds, Andy
