Don't often get to these parts much thesedays.. so far from home and difficult to access. A long overdue visit to the area meant that this OC was high on my list of todays priorities.. Called in on my way back down to Rook Tor from the beacon. T4TC.

There was a  cache sat on the map teasing me while I was sat at home isolating due to having tested positive for COVID-19. I was quite surprised to see that it was still unfound this morning and made it my priority.

I haven't been to this part of the Moor for years, but remember my last visit as if it was yesterday.

As I was looking for this cache I could hear voices. It was all a bit eerie. I eventually spotted a couple climbing all over the beacon, I guess they must have been letterboxers. I got my head back down to search this one out. It was only after finding the cache that I realised that there was a spoiler.

Good to see another dual listed cache.

Found after a brief search on a fine and warm afternoon.

Mr Bb was caching solo on a big loop walk south from Hortonsford Brook and very much enjoying the solitude in this remote area.

I thought I logged this yesterday, but appears not to be there.  I reiterate what Ed said.

I'm not sure whether I can claim {FTF} here or not. Others have visited the container and logged it on another site but given it is unclaimed here I am going to stake my claim.

I started my walk at first light, parking at Heathfield Down and heading up the track from Quick Bridge. I am sure that I am more than half way up by this point, the climb has been pretty relentless and my coat came off ages ago despite 3 degree temperatures.

My GPS took me to an open patch of grass, not a rock in sight. Eventually I spotted the hide at N 50 26.799 W 3 58.237, some 7m from the posted coordinates. TFTC, a good hide here
