About a week ago, NSCR and I agreed to get out on Dartmoor for a long overdue walk. The biggest difficulty was deciding where we would go. We eventually decided to head out towards Shavercombe. We parked up at Gutter Tor, a place where I have parked and cached from many times, but there are always more to find each time.

We had made our way over the River Plym, which was running quite high. I found a spot that I could cross in my wellies and gave Nick a piggyback across.

Once at GZ, we managed to locate the cache without using the spoiler picture.

About a week ago a plan was hatched to have a loooong overdue walk with dixie_gooner. We decided to go for a Dartmoor stomp and grab a few caches around Shavercombe Brook

What a glorious place this is. Even on this misty morning.

Thanks for the cache

What a lovely spot this is and embrassingly I was here in October and didn't notice this opencache but all is well now..Ed Don and I came here from Hen tor and had to go a little way down stream and come back up again to the cache ..really thought Ed was going in the water whilst crossing but some how he didn't get wet  and he soon had the cache in his hands and signed us in..once we were back across the water again we headed off back in different directions as Ed was parked near the scout hut and I were parked at nuns cross.many thanks

A really pretty spot that I hope to revisit for wild camping at some point in future. CJ199 and I approached from the south so had to go past the hide, drop down and backtrack to access GZ. Whilst crossing the brook I almost came a cropper thanks to a slippery stone. Good core strength saved me and I was able to secure myself in a vaguely upright position despite having very little traction on my boots.

TFTC, all is good here

Thanks, wouldn't walk past this when I was at the nearby Geocache belonging to this CO.  A  very beautiful spot and no problems with finding the cache.
