Visiting my locksmith at hos premises nearby. I had half an hour to waste so decided to look for a cache. This was my closest and didn't take too long to find.

Even on a murky morning the furlough brigade were out in force so I had to time it carefully.

TFTC and a recommendation

Was here today for a graduation ceremony. Looked at the map and this cache was just outside the compound.

Once the event had finished, I went down the steps and spotted the likely hide on approach. Was able to retrieve the cache without breaking my stride.

Sat on a bench further down to sign the log, then it was back past GZ to replace the cache.

Thanks for the cache - great hide.

I've been meaning to come and look for this cache for quyite some time, but everytime I visit the Hoe I've always forgot about it. Today was different, I decided that this cache was at the top of my list. Having found another cache up here I headed over to this one. It took a few minutes to locate the container very nicely hidden away. I signed in and returned the cache. Lovely location for a cache, and all is well with it.

After twice not noticing that this cache exists, today we managed to make the find.

We were coming down for the day to meet my brother and family and my niece loved what was her first cache find. We came here after a pasty and before a dip the open air pool below The Hoe.

From looking at a satellite image, I had a feeling about what this hide might be, given the positive comments and its well-deserved crecent cache of the week status.

After a bit of careful observation we made the fun find and signed the log without drawing attention to ourselves on this sunny lunch time.

Thanks for the effort that went into this cache, and for making it an opencache.

I've now missed searching for this cache twice. Both times I had a lunch time Dewdney's pasty within 100m of the cache, without knowing it was there. The first time was two years ago and I didn't bother to log a comment even though I discovered it was there with a too late search of the map. This time I had no excuse as I had looked this one up after my last visit. We were staying in Dawlish and I checked for opencaches there but not in Plymouth and I forgot all about this one. We came down to visit the aquarium but came up to The Hoe first. I will return, but will I remember this cache next time?

This is why I love opencaching. Nearly 10 years this cache has been here and has only 9 finds.

A good hide too. This would have been found hundreds of times on GC.

This has been my favourite opencaching so far

My second and final opencache of the day, came here after the geocache at the War Memorial. Places like these, your stereotypical hide is often a nano or film pot chucked at the base of a post, invariably with a soggy log, so I was fully expecting that when I got here. But - I got a surprise!! An excellent cache, coordinates spot on too and everything is in good condition.

Out on the Hoe picking up a few caches and bits for various multis. It was a bit blustery today, which was an ideal opportunity to come and grab this cache. Managed to locate it quite quickly due to the co ords being spot on. Was amazed to find a log book which stretches for 8 years over the first page. The log is as good as new

Although the logs state that this one hasnt been found in years we thought we would try it whilst we were in the area for a familg picnic. Was pleasently surprised when we got to gz and instantly found it. Stealthily retrieved log signed and cache replaced. TFTC
The Cooke Family

How nice to find a few Open Caches finally in the UK... there are very few:(Back home about 10% of all hides are no longer on GC.com:DThis was avery nice one too! On my last visit to Plymount it was December, freezing and windy. TOday was windy... but much nicer. Im sure the America's cup blokes setting up for next week wont mind... as long as the wind hangs around hehe

Cheers from Australia!

My 2500th cache, and how fitting it is that it is one of Steve's:-).
2320 Groundspeak
147 OpenCache
78 TerraCache
47 NaviCache
2500 unique
This one was "just" a micro, but a vey good micro:-)The co-ordinates and the clue were good enough to make this a very quick find, and Mrs. Amberel stood with her skirts blowing in the breeze to conceal my recovery of the cache :-)
Thanks for a nice one to reach this milestone,
Rgds, Andy

There were not many people about here today but had to wait to do the cache as there were people here. The view was lovely and clear. Got back to find the Barbican was now out so I have a good excuse for a nice walk around the hoe again.t4tc.bassred.
