We passed this area during our trip to Plymouth, so I thought I'd quickly snap a photo of the steps and memorial. I also did the Adventure Lab cache in this area.

We also visited the Elizabethan House, which was interesting. Plus they just let us come in for free.

I had a very affordable and tasty burger from Cap'n Jaspers; I was surprised they didn't sell chips though. I instead went and bought some to go with it from the nearest chippy.

Didn't notice this was an Opencache, so that makes this my second find for that site. TFTC #2

My husband was working in Plymouth and I accompanied him and spent  the day geocaching while he was in meetings. Great area and thanks to geocaching I discovered areas like this that I would otherwise have missed. Thanks for placing the cache.
sorry I can’t see an edit to rotate the photo.

Found it but could not get closer as currently has scaffold and work hoarding around it. Hope the pic will suffice.

As my friends know I don't think much of Plymouth. That said, like all cities it does have a few nice bits. I was at a meeting on nearby Lambhay hill and decided to pop across to the steps (currently undergoing refurbishment in time for 2020) to take a photo.

I think it would be more useful if the headline coordinates took cachers to the steps themselves, not everyone arrives by car especially those with a sense of responsibility for the environment.

Today I decided on a trip to Britain's Ocean City to do some caching. I wasn't expecting excellent weather, but it turned out beautiful when I arrived, and the slight haze made for a lovely sparkle over the flat-calm sea. My first port of call (intentional nautical pun) was this virtual, where I took the required photo of my GPS which I will upload to this log. Thanks for the cache!

We visited The Barbican and attempted this cache back in December, but were unable to log a find as alterations at Cap'n Jaspers had removed the information needed for the password.

Now that the cache requirements have been amended we are now able to finally log our find.

We enjoyed our stroll around the area.

Oh dear! We visited the Barbican to do this one and to the required photo at Mayflower Steps. When we arrived at Cap'n Jaspers, however, the mural is no longer there so we were not able to get the necessary code word.

My original comment on this date was lost during the great OC site crash.. ever since I have been Googling old pictures of the Captains place to try and identify what the now covered up signs were. The best I could do was find a photo where I could see the sign but not read it.. enjoyed my regular walk around the Barbie - have been using Jaspers since the 80s when it was just a shed.  Mackerel rolls were the best.. will now relog,

There is so much history here it just oozes out of the cobbles. So many plaques, many relative to my native Australia, and points of interesing in the area. Spent a bit of time wandering this morning and soaking it all in before getting the photo and codeword. While I had a vaugue appreciation of the role of Plymouth in Australia's history this was just an absolute treat to discover.

Cheers from Sydney! (Wonder if I can still get a boat from here home:Phahaha)

Haven't been here for years, very busy today. Had forgotten how nice it was - especially on a sunny day. Cap'n Jaspers used to be  a regular stop off at the end of an evening, TFTC.
