Had a good look, I expect its still there somewhere buried in 7 years worth of debris..

My last cache in Wales - at least for this trip; I'm sure I'll be back .

The whole area was deserted this cold but sunny Sunday morning, which made finding the cache a doddle.

I had hoped this would be my 200th OpenCache, but now I'm home and logging them it seems I failed to find the right password for the Rolls cache, so it turns out to be #199 instead .

Thanks for the cache, in a lovely spot so close to the castle.

I tried to find this cache in the dark on the way home from Brecon Beacons but it was a fiasco. First, taxi drivers parked in the corner of the car park and I had to wait 15 minutes for them to go, during which I did a much-needed CITO of the GZ area, hoping that some of the litter would turn out to be the cache. Then I had barely been searching for 10 minutes properly, aided by the headlights of my car, when a dog walking muggle came and parked - you guessed it - right where the taxi had been and supervised the dog whilst it fouled the bushes I was trying to search. That was the last straw for me and I set off home. I hope Amberel enjoyed his search today in the much cleaner environs! TFTH Sandvika.

I haven't been to Chepstow castle for many years and wouldn't have visited today had it not been for this opencache. We had some trouble finding it because the signal was jumping about for some reason and also the path was quite busy so we had to wait around a few times. Got it eventually though and then went and had a walk round.

It's great to see an OpenCache in these parts at last. What a great cache logging page too.

We parked at the sports centre and made this our first cache on a day spent walking in the area. Chepstow Castle is a great place which we have naturally visited many times before. We even went to an open air play within it's walls once. I am surprised that they've let so much ivy and shubbery take root in the walls though.

At the end of our walk we were passing The Alcove in Piercefield Park. It is well on it's way to being fully restored. The trees have been cleared leaving a view to the castle that I have never seen before.

Many thanks for placing this cache. We may get round to placing one or two of our own one day.

 Well actually it was a Hat trick of Firsts as it was my first open cache find on Wales first Opencache plus the first to find.

 It was not a day to go caching but having withdrawel symptoms through lack of caching during the recent snow I just had to get out and about. The rain kept the muggles away though which I was thankful for as I know how busy this place can get.
