It was a lovely walk up to Tristis Rock today with heartradio who mentioned this opencache. After admiring the rock and the wonderful views we headed over to GZ where heartradio quickly located this container. This has had so few visitors given its age but its a great cache in a great location and all is in good order.

ChudleighTraveller and I were walking to the event at the top of Stalldown Barrow today when I suddenly realised that there was an opencache on this rock, which I seemed to remember had received a TOP CACHE award from Andy. So, it must be worth stopping for?
It certainly was. A lovely spot with great views, and the cache is in great condition too. Many thanks.

I have had this account since 2010 and never logged a cache.
Thought I would try a couple and this is a place I do not recall visiting before , or it's been so long I can't remember.
After a muddy walk up I sat admiring the view for a while then back down to the road and then along the Erme river trail towards Ivybridge.

I love a couple of things about Dartmoor: the peaks with their great views and stony outcrops; and also the streams running through mossy woodland. This cache has both, all within a relatively short walk; and even better, there's an old pump house thrown in for good measure!
Thanks to Amberel and his Top Cache list, I spotted this cache listing and came to a deal with the rest of my family: "If we all do this cache in the morning, I'll take you to Trago Mills in the afternoon!"
We drove through heavy showers, but miraculously we had a lovely weather window of an hour or so while we walked up to this cache. As ascended towards Tristis Rock, we could clearly hear a cuckoo in the trees beside the dry stone wall - it was great as the boys hadn't heard one before!
We found the cache quickly thanks to good coordinates. The boys were keen to trade - what a difference between a thoughtfully stocked Opencache (even when small) and the tat we normally find in geocaches!
Thanks for a good traditional cache with all the right ingredients.

We thoroughly enjoyed every part of this walk: the babbling brook, the magical wood full of moss covered rocks, the hillside carpeted with bluebells, and the spectacular views from Tristis Rock. It was a lovely sunny evening and so peaceful with just the sound of yellowhammers and a cuckoo.
The cache was very well hidden and it took us a while to find it even with the spoiler photo! We took nothing and left a mini glowstick.
Thanks for a great cache, and thanks to Amberel for drawing our attention to it via his Top Cache Awards. Just a shame it wasn't a bigger box!

Another Amberel TOP CACHE. Best of the day, best of the trip so far, and probably best of the whole holiday . I really enjoyed this one, can you tell ?
A lovely walk by the river, not too much mud after this dry spell, past acres of bluebells in full bloom, and a walk up the hill to a spectacular cache location.
Thanks for a real cracker.
Rgds, Andy
