Last cache on the way back from Laughter tor.

Only noticed it when I looked at the Nexus as it has all the GC and open caches + Munzees.

It was very dodgy searching as the very strong wind kept blowing me around and falling into hidden holes.

It was a relief to get down into the woods.

TFTC and 2 virtual mysteries near by Cool

Found towards the end of the ring of laughter series.

Fairly quick find by James. Decent sized, well stocked cache, still in very good condition despite not having been found for 10 months.

Sure the views here are lovely, but shrouded in mist today.

TNLN, TFTC.

Found this cache whilst doing the Ring of Laughter circular walk accompanied by the cache owner. Both of us had to search for the hiding placeEmbarassed The vegetation is growing up nicely around these rocks now. Cache in good order.

Really enjoyed this cache. We wallked around the forest before making are way up to it. Found after a short search. Bellever is a beautiful place so if you have not been here before it is well worth a visit. Dropped off a piggy trackable. TFTC.

By now I was soaked to the bone by the wind driven rain, and had this not been an OpenCache I would have headed back to the motor-bike long ago! I can't see very well without my glasses on, but today the visibility was even worse when I was wearing them!

As I walked along the footpath looking for an opening on my left I hoped this would be an atypical Gribben placement and would not involve scrambling over difficult terrain to reach the cache.

But my worst fears were realised Smile. I made my way over what were by now treacherously slippery rocks and never was more grateful to see a cache box Smile. Despite the dreadful weather, this was another TOP CACHE, see http://www.amberel.com/topcache.htm .

This was my final find of the holiday, and it was a shame it ended in such poor weather. It was still some way back to the motor-bike, and in retrospect I didn't choose the best route.

Once back to the car park I found my bike to be the only vehicle present. I carted my overnight bag into the public conveniences and dug yesterday's clothes out of the dirty washing bag - they were in a lot better condition than the ones I was wearing Smile.

Feeling a lot better in dry clothes, and with the rain by now beginning to abate, I headed back to London with lots of mostly pleasant memories of my holiday, and 10 more TOP CACHE coins to make!!!

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy

A nice brisk walk up from Dunnabridge with a few spots of rain cache found easily as the GPS was spot on, shame about the fog couldn't see much, carried on to Laughter Tor to get another cache. TFTC.

Second time lucky, approached from Dunnabrige Farm this time and the lungs took a little less of a bashing even though 1/2 running to at least search in the light. Took several minutes to find but got there in the end and back to the car without havin to break out the torch. Good to get this one found. TFTC

Found as an Opencache! - on a beautiful day, the sun was out, hardly any wind, visibility was excellent, ... and the cache was found!

Got back to the car (about 1 mile away) and realised I hadn't left a pathtag as I was going to - Bother!

TFTC (again)

Paul
One of the most interesting but frustrating DNFs I've had! The GPS was most insistent about where I should be looking and like a good cacher look I did, both there and everywhere else I could think of for a good area around, steadily getting wetter colder hands in the process. After about 30 minutes it was time to call time on the search and head back for the car, it was at that point I became aware of the local hunt approaching, about 60 huntsmen galloping across the moor is some sight. Form that moment we were regulary crossing the paths of one group or another of them and their supporters were out in force along the Postbridge Road. How the other half get their entertainment! Pity I didn't find the cache that would have been the icing on the cake.

It was very warm and I wasn't rally dressed for the walk up but I took a few minutes at the trig to cool down and take in the great views from up there today. Some believe this tor to be the center of Dartmoor and with the 360° views today, it certainly felt like I was sat in the middle of the moor.

No problem finding the cache, I didn't even turn the GPSr on, I tried to find it from memory and just about managed it.

Despite the struggle due to the heat I enjoyed my visit today, thank you.
