A quick and easy find on a detour from the Around Skir Hill Trail listed on the mainstream website.

Passed some Ten Tors trainees at Ryder's Hill but it was all quiet here.

Signed the log and carefully replaced the cache as found.

Out tidying up my caches and noticed this OC. Not a great fan but I was passing and a very easy find thankyou. Out on my own up here and no person anywhere to be seen. A lovely day and an area I haven't been to for a while. A very nice walk albeit most of the paths resembling streams. All was good inside the container.

It is good to see some MP caches still going strong. Another interesting spot and a hiding place I am sure I searched, clearly not hard enough because I had to consult the hint before putting my hand on the container. TFTC

Out for a first proper autumn walk, starting from Lud gate, up the Western Walla Brook, up to Ryder's Hill and returning via Snowdon. An absolutely gorgeous day with no wind, warm early October tempertures and clear views as far as the eye could see (we reckoned we could see Sidmouth in the distance). It was Hubby's day with the finds, and he went straight to it in less than 10 seconds with no help needed from me or the spoiler. One of seven caches today in beautiful countryside with glorious weather - a "red letter" day indeed.

I had a day off school today, so what better to do than go for a stomp o'er the moors. Nope, you can't think of anything either can you, and I couldn't think of anything better so that's what I did! 3 caches found including a FTF, and 2 opencaches also found today.

My first of the two Opencaches today and a lovely approach to this one from Puper's Hill with scenic panoramic views over Dartmoor and even down to the seaside at Brixham and Teignmouth. A little wet underfoot put I don't need to go bog-hopping today for this one.;)All found quickly and replaced, cache in good condition :)

Now I can say I had elevenses on Snowdon! A pony grazing nearby decided to try his luck for some tipbits but went away disapointed. Great day for walking, many thanks for the cache.

Great view

This was the limit of the walk and then down to the hole.

Nice moorland walk without a long drive.

Took a bit to find

No, not that one! - it might well have been coming at the end of the day!  There must be easier paths up this mountain (hill) but the route I took straight up from the river was certainly not one of them!  Howevewr, a great walk today with a couple of delightful opencaches, one which hadn't been found for nearly 2 years, this one for nearly 3 years. My second OpenCache of the day, and a straightforward find on a great part of the moor. Cache contained a "Cistes" PathTag, but as I already have that one, I left it there.

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy

Nearing the end of our walk ( just Pupers & Lud Gate to go ) Was suprised to find a blank log strip in this cache.Surprised PQ'd all Dartmoor but didn't check them individually. The cache was found with spot-on co-ords & hint, and well tucked away.  I must try the real thing oneday.
