Today was the Dartmoor 365 event at Cranmere pool. My first proper visit since rushing out for a FTF in darkness. Today I arrived at the designated parking spot in slight darkness as I waited for Mr Arooga, Mr NSCR and Mr GeoOldham.

The same as others before me, this one left me stumped.

Another DNF to add to the collection here I'm afraid. Had a good look in the place indicated by the hint, the logs weren't loading so I now see it's somewhere different. I'm sure I'll return another day

Had I seen Dartmoor Dave's log entry I might have been more successful. Alas not today but given I have other DNFs in the area I am sure I will return one day

No luck here, despite a careful search.

Checked past logs for any clues and found that the cache hint has been superseded, so carried out a fingertip search in the place indicated by Dartmoor Dave's log but came up empty-handed.

Perhaps this would benefit from a check by the CO?

This was the second one of the day found the stumpy post and soon the cache. The grass hereabouts is very long now - now many visitors take this route any more. TFTC

The two Ockerton Court Peat Pass caches were one of my main objectives of my walk today.  I don't believe I have ever visited this pass before, although I have passed by Ockerton Court on my way to Cranmere Pool on a few occasions.  Having read the previous logs I knew the sad state of this cache so I brought both a new logbook and cache.  The cache was very quickly found, tftc, but it was obvious that the hide was no longer viable as it was now just a pool of water.  I decided to replace the whole cache as I doubted if the previous one was still watertight.  I've placed it 2 metres from the little wooden post on a bearing of 310 degrees, just tucked into the heather and I will upload a spoiler photo.

Found on the way back from Cranmere Pool. Afraid it's in a very poor state, it's lying in water, whch has filled both outer and inner containers and turned the log to mush. Naturally I emptied the water out, but I didn't have a suitable replacemen log and in any way I think it will just fill up with water again in days anyway.

Took a photo in lieu of signing,

Rgds, Andy

Next stop, Cranmere Pool and lunch.  It was good to reanimate these caches after 2.5 years.
