Out for a walk on the moors on a lovely sunny St Piran's day.

After eating our pasties, we set out to find this cache. Took us a while to find the right level, but the coordinates took us there.

Cache was pretty waterlogged, we emptied it out as well as we could.

Log was OK though and signed.

Thanks for our first Opencache in a while.

Saw ths showing on C.Geo, so thought I would have a look for it. My success with Open Caching leaves a lot to be desired. No problems at all so thank goodness for that. There is going to be a lot of whortleberries later on. Cache is in need of some TLC a lot of rusty looking water in it. Log is dry, but not sure how long it will stay like that.

Slight diversion from the path along the ridge to find this one, very glad I did, in very good condition despite not having been found for a long time. Impressive style of box too, don't remember ever seeing that before. Glad I'd looked at the spoiler though, otherwise I might have been here for a while. Terracaching? That's a blast from the past!

Now that I have caught up with most of my opencache logging which has kept me busy for the last couple of days I can now return to this cache and award it a recommendation as it is certainly one of the best caches I have found in a great location.

A wonderful walk around this North East portion of the moor. It's always a joy to ascend this hill, I've done it from all angles, and enjoyed every one! Thanks for making another reason to come back.

What a treat to find such a Terra Cache.. great container all in very good condition. Took a few minutes to prise open as the seal is so good on these containers.. This is our fourth OC today and they have all been excellent so far. Noticed last visitor was Dartmoor Dave in 2016-- will have to remind him to log this.. thanks again for another great cache and location.

First of all my apologies for the extremely late logging of this cache, but fortunately I had it well documented. The highlight of our short break in Cornwall was to be able to walk over Bodmin Moor and find as many caches as possible, including of course, those on Brown Willy. I knew I couldn't find every cache but decided on a north south route which would take in about 16 caches, including two Open Caches. This was the 9th of those caches, amazingly placed by 7 different COs, and the first of the 2 opencaches. What an amazing cache this is, certainly the best presented cache of the entire holiday and full of interesting swops. Unfortunately I can't give a recommendation to this cache as I have none left, but hopefully will remember to do so later. Many thanks for this great cache.

Its been about a year and a half since I was last here.

Sat and had lunch at the trig before heading off to Showery and Roughtor.

I had to return to the top again to get down to Fowey moor.

Stunning view on a clear day Cool

Wonderful sunny day for a walk on roughtor and Brown Willy with Daughter Jackie (half of 'Jackie+Andy').

The ground is now nice and dry on the hills which added to the pleasure of the walk.

Had to be a bit careful near to the hiding place as I seemed to find a few deep hidden holes.

Nice cache in great condition.  Many thanks for placing it here.

More stunning views from the top of Kernow's Highpoint today on a fantasticly hot early 'spring' afternoon.  The cache was soon found after walking from Rough Tor.  TFTC. TM

A quick visit for the TOP CACHE - BROWN WILLY Geocoin

Arrived at GZ and had a bit of a poke around, but realised I needed to see the spoiler. Fortunately a fairly good signal here to get the internet on my phone and see it. After a few minutes downloading I discovered that the restful place I had sat was directly over the cache!

This was my third visit to Brown Willy and it's always a special place to visit. I went to the trig first, just so I could be the highest person in Cornwall for a few minutes todayCool, then followed the GPSr back down to the cache area. I did have a bit of trouble locating this one and had to go online to look at the spoiler before I found it.

All the caches I did today were good ones but I picked this one for a green star because it is such an iconic location.

I had another rest and coffee here while I took in the beauty of the moor from here. T4TOC.

Had a really good walk out to Brown Willy from Roughtor with my wife and two sons. This was the first time for them to Cornwalls highest point. I would of liked to have walked on to Garrow tor but I think this may have been to much for them, so that one will have to wait until another day.

Stunning views as you would expect. TFTC.

Here at last! It's been a long walk up from Candra, and will be a long walk back, into a ferociously strong wind, but it was worth it.

When I set out from London yesterday morning I had four specific caches that I wanted to visit - these were my "primary targets" and the others I would do on the way and on the way back, even though they were good caches in their own right, were almost incidental. Brown Willy was the third of those primary targets to be crossed off the list.

I was very thankful I had printed off the spoiler before leaving home; I think this one would have been difficult without it and I would have hated to register a DNF on this particular cache.

A great cache, thanks.

Rgds, Andy
