No luck for me today. Mind you, not found for a long time. I shall bring my stick next time to do a bit more thorough search.

Like the previous finder I too came here whilst attempting a nearby Earthcache, but unlike him - I couldn't find it! I don't think I noticed his log whilst I was looking for this, but I thought that there was only one place this could be, but now I've read his log, maybe I missed it. I shall have to return!

There were plenty of lilies on the pond today but no goldfish to be seen today. I came here to look at a new Earthcache on another site and couldn't really walk past could I?

I spent far too long at an incorrect spot containing typical camo and even longer picking the berries that are just coming up to their best. Once I moved a few metres the hiding place was obvious.

The contents of this cache are soggy and it would benefit from a refresh

Found after a brief search having been tempted into the area by the new Earthcache listed on the mainstream website.

The log is rather soggy but just took a signature with a light touch.

Apologies for the very late log - making a determined effort to rectify our lax logging on Opencaches.

TFTC.

Out today grabbing GC coded caches in the area after the side event held nearby for the 10th Annual UK Mega. This was a nice quick find for Bailey. TFTC

Decided to do this one today whilst taking the dog for a walk. Wondered if it would still be there, having not been found for a few years. It was, although the cache container was getting 'grown in' to the vegetation and the log/contents were quite damp. I managed to get my pen to write on it though. I did intend to find it the other day, but after getting as far as the quarry decided I hadn't really got time. Photo from my earlier visit as it was wet and grey today. TFTC

Found this today as part of our caching walk taking in Saddle Tor, Holwell Tor, Beck Brook, part of the very interesting tramway and Haytor.
Cache in a very interesting location, found fairly quickly by Mr R with the aid of the hint.
Wish we had more time to explore, but looking increasingly unlikely that we'll make it to the Rock for a pub lunch.
Cache contents a bit damp, but still serviceable.
TFTC and thanks for bringing us here.

Quick find, lots of really cool swaps, but disturbed by american muggle wandering off the path so took nothing, left nothing.

Great spot, would normally be undisturbed. And a great area - have been bringing my dogs to the quarry for many years. If you're passing through, make this your excuse to come up here!

I was riding home to London today, picking up some OpenCaches and TerraCaches as I crossed the moor. This was a really unusual location, and I thoroughly enjoyed it - I think I can even spare a recommendation for it Laughing.

My wife rang as I was on my way towards the quarry, in a cool breeze but pleasant sunshine. She said it was pouring with rain in London. And, just as I arrived at the cache, it started pouring here too. It was that sort of day Laughing.

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy

Second Opencache of the morning, this was a revisit to an area where a GC cache used to be. Unfortunately that one disappeared a few times so I hope this one has better luck.

I came over the top via HayTor to the fence and followed it round to the cache. No problem finding it and I made a minor swap but left the OC patch in there as I still have a few of them left myself.

I went into the quarry for another look around and found signs it is well used by people scattering ashes of loved ones. It makes it quite a somber area I felt but it's a hidden gem of a place so I can see why folk choose it.

I didn't see any goldfish today, maybe it was too cold and they were all over under the branches and lilly leaves. After a while, a group of walkers came over the stile so I took that as my queue to leave and headed back up to the rock which was very busy today.

Thanks for bringing me back to this lovely spot on the moor and the cache.
