There are quite a few opencache and geocache hides around here (including a couple of moving caches) which had me weaving around the hillside, probably looking quite lost to anyone watching from a distance! The cache was easy to find and in a good condition. Thanks for the hide.

I needed to visit this cache once again (my third time) to check on the date when I originally found it as for some reason I had never logged this cache I found over 6 years ago! The cache was still where it has always been and still in pristine condition. I quickly made a note of the date I originally found it, which was 13th June 2014!

An unnecessary return visit to find this cache again, having already found it just over a year ago.
This cache was in the GPSr so I took a detour from my walk to seek it out, and thought that it seemed familiar!
Trawling through the past cache logs on my Garmin revealed that I found it on 1 April 2018, but never got round to logging the find.
This provided the spur to get on and log all our Opencache finds!

First cache of the day, very early on, having got up early to enjoy Dartmoor before the temperature gets too hot (not often you can say that!). We approached from the road (near hairy hands) passing through Powdermills and up to Longaford Tor to admire the views before trekking along towards Higher White Tor itself.
I went straight to it, nice quick find before continuing on on our route towards Brown's house, returning via Postbridge and eventually Bellever Forest.

Seems as if we did not log this one when we were up that way recently. It wS a wRm and sunny day. After collecting a moving box we set off to look for this one. Once at GZ it was soon found by Ian. Tftc.

Found quickly on a day that started dry and cold but ended very wet with heavy rain.
Apologies for the very late log - had to trawl through the cache logs on my Garmin to track down exactly when I found this cache!

I was visiting Higher White Tor today, and on checking I noticed there was an opencache here. I was with Ed-don and dave.johnson, and we walked to GZ. The cache was quickly found, which is in excellent condition. The log was signed and container returned to its hide.

The second opencache of the day and no problems here. I usually cache alone so it is nice to have some company in the form of Chudleigh Traveller and Dave Johnson who incidentally was the last person to find this cache back in April 16

This was one of the very first opencaches I ever found but like several others I found early on was never logged. Twice I have returned to this cache to make a note of the date of my original find and now I am able to log it with the correct found date. This was my first Gribben find and I have since very much enjoyed finding any of his caches as they are always still in excellent condition and in great locations. Many thanks for placing this cache which I am finally logging with my apologies for a 6 year late log!

A nice easy find. Plenty of walkers about today, probably due to the good weather for April.

Lovely find on a freezing cold day on the Moor. The cold made the walk out along the Lych Way much easier as all the bogs were frozen solid! Last of the day

Nice place. I know it usually has a view but there was only the inside of a cloud to see today.

The first OpenCache/Navicache of a long walk round Merrivale today, starting at Two Bridges, though I had already stopped for one Groundspeak cache at Wistman's Wood.
A typical top quality Gribben cache. It came close to getting a TOP CACHE award, but it was an even toss up between this cache and the very nearby Groundspeak one, and I felt it was better to spread the awards around a bit .
Thanks for the cache,
Rgds, Andy

The 1st of 4 opencaches on the moor today. Cache was well hidden as the vegetation had'nt been disturbed for a few months. Cache fine.

This is my 5th opencache of the day, on a big round trip of the tors in this area, now heading for the West Dart Weir, glad the river is down! TFTC.

This was hard work today because once the snow had stopped enough for me to come out my hidey hole in the rocks, the ground was covered in snow. Even though I had a rough idea where it was from my previous visit I needed the accurate coordinates to narrow down the search area. The rock was completely covered in snow so I had to poke about with my stick to find rocks to look under and after a while I struck lucky. I was very surprised to have found it but very relieved as well and at least the snow which was still falling would cover my tracks pretty quickly.
I headed back to two Bridges from here and half way back it stopped snowing and the sun came out again...... the moor really had her schitzoid head on today!
