My first Opencache! Thanks for a lovely location. Wasn't really sure if I'd ever do this cache but walked past it today with A_Loved_Scorpio and decided to give it a go. Quickly located it and then sat for a while admiring nature. Kinda cool that my first OC was a resurrected cache.

Made the best of the nice weather and dog sitting and went for a nice long walk in Bracknell Forest. Even the sun came out for most of the walk (2 1/2 hours, 10 km) and few people around.
Cache was very quickly in hand as it had been dislodged by some creatures. Signed log and rehid accoring to hint. Cache is in good order.

Caesar's Camp is one of my favourite areas in Swinley Forest, and I had this cache on my phone (c:geo supports Opencaches - simply enter the OK reference in the search dialogue). To be honest, it was a bit of a push to get to this cache and back to the car in time to collect mini-smudger from footbal practice, which means I will have to return to complete the multi.
Container found after a short search. All is good.

This is one of our closest to home Opencaches and I'm surprised how long it's taken me to visit. I'd read the bit about this being a replacement cache and listing but it was only as I approached the hiding place that I realised I'd been here before.
Looking in GSAK later at home, I see that we found the original cache in April 2010 but I don't remember the tree when it was upright.
I wonder if the text needs amending as the cache isn't a "black plastic cylindrical screw top container". Perhaps the original was?

I have only just noticed the comment about the clean log book so I went back today to sign it.
I found that I had signed the log already, it was on the second page and not the first. In my excitement at the cache being reinstated and also being my first FTF I must have turned over two pages before writing my original entry.

I have been planning to do the Swinley Forest Opencaches for quite a few months, but never quite got round to it. However, I was picking up a number of local ccahes today so decided to try and get to the 4 Opencaces as well.
After walking some familiar paths I arrived at an area of Swinley Forest that I've not been to before. Once at GZ cache was soon found, althhough it probably took longer than it should have done. Surprised to fine a clean log book, given that there is a found log on-line.

Got out early so that I would miss the rain. Nice sunny walk to the cache, clouded over on the way back to the car.
