This beautiful wood is becoming a opencache 'napoleon' for me, as I came up the river in February looking for these two, and my gps went 'crazy', sending like a minion, around and around in circles, so I decided to quickly move on!! This lovely sunny warm afternoon I returned, more determined and more time! Looking first for Knowle Wood with the spoilers, even though my gps was experiencing 'gremlins' again, I got close, very close. Kept going to the same rock, poking and prodding but nothing! Change of plan, time to try the Bonus, after checking numberus trees in the area, hurrah, poking out under some leaf litter in the tree crook/hollow was this cracker! Time to log, oh no my pen had fallen out of my pocket, damn! So took hold of the rather damp pencil provided and start logging only for it to fall apart in my hand!!!!! So I got W  16-03-!!, marvellous! Re-hide and moved back to the other, nothing again, has it gone? I'll get dave.johnson to pop back with me, and be reassured that I'm not going mad, 'napoleon' style!!!!

Quick find in an area I have not visited before. River was raging today. Many thanks for the cache.

Brilliant, STF 6 years 1 month after last visitor. I had my doubts about this because the spoiler didn't give anything much away regarding the locality. Started off about 10m away and eventually spotted a possibility. Lots of prodding and digging later I heard the familiar clunk! Took several minutes to dig it out after many seasons of debris..and there it was. Bit soggy and damp but should be ok hereafter as it is no longer buried.. Removed soggy bits and rusty Pathtag (thanks) cleaned it all up so its ready to be found.. thanks for placing the cache..

After a couple of days on the North Devon Coast we pointed the wheels of of campervan towards Dartmoor and points near.

Tuesday was a washout - it didn't stop raining for the while 24 hours. And Maisie the GeoSpaniel was getting a bit stir crazy. This was the first cache of Wednesday morning, and she absolutely loved it to bits - she always loves her walks at any time, but I can't ever remember her being quite so excited about one, there must have been hundreds of lovely smells, plus all the rock pools to paddle in.

We tried to find the parking for the northern approach, but there was nothing big enough for the camper, so we negotiated the perilously narrow lane southwards where we found a great spot to leave it.

The approach to the cache from the south was a bit up and down, over and under, in and out, but it was a lot of fun. With all the rain we've been having the river was in full spate, so that was also very scenic.

Used the spoiler to find the extremely well concealed cache, which was on a different level to where we started from.

Left the Pathtag for the next finder as I already have this one,

Thanks for the cache and a great walk to it.

Rgds, Andy, Marion and especially Maisie Smile.
