Cache was where it was supposed to be, but rather dirty inside. Spent quite a while giving it a thorough clean and a new log.

A day spent colllecting groundspeak and opencaches around the beautiful Virginia Water.  This one gets loads more visits in its groundspeak guise, but logging it on here too since I've visited.  Thanks for the cache!

I have just adopted this cache. I understand that the container is damaged, but the cache is still there so I'll not disable it, but I will replace it as soon as I can obtain an appropriate replacement.

---(2010-03-23, 15:03:24)---(Find 5357)---
We found this cache in its Groundspeak form in March 2008 so this is another first for us: our first cross-listed Opencache. When we signed up at opencaching.org.uk we had a discussion with ourselves about how we should handle caches we've previously visited and we decided that we'd revisit the cache in order to sign the log again.

So that's what we did and as we were at GC24ZZQ we decided to add variety by approaching from the north as this would mean passing through an area of the Great Park we hadn't previously visited. We walked past Savill Garden and the obelisk and arrived at the cache site where, we thought, unlike last time the cache would be an easy find as we knew exactly where it was, didn't we? We hunted for a while and eventually found the cache in a completely different place from where it was before. So finding this cache again turned out to be a completely new experience for us.

Thanks for the cache.

First Opencache find.

Found on a walk around Virginia Water. The Totem Pole  is surrounded by mud and fences at present and the current work has been abandoned because of the weather!

Took my wife and her twin sister on a birthday treat walk around this lovely lake. Never realised at the time of finding that this was also an OpenCache hence the delay in logging the find.

Had a rest here after looking at the marvellous totem pole which brought memories of my visit to Vancouver for my 40th birthday when I saw this poles canadian cousin. Geocaching did not exist in those days though.

Not brilliantly hidden but a nice quiet spot, covered a bit better after leaving.

Co-listed with gc.com - logging on date of original find.

Great totem pole.  Do have projection facility on GPSr but didn't use it.  Reverted to the hint and used the coordinates provided - a bit lazy I know.  At ground zero, heard voices mentioning a green box and the race was on.  Managed to find the cache before the other cachers found it.

Logging on 25/08/09, though the cache was actually visted on 27/01/2008!

Just checked my Groundspeak and Navicache notes to find it took me some time, as my projected co-ordinates took me some way beyond the cache and into the middle of the lake Surprised. The alternative co-ordinates weren't available then, so it took a bit of perseverance, but I got there in the end, and without getting my feet wet Smile.

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy

Found via that other site, copying log over here too:

Found with hint, excellent camoflage! Took Swing Thing CD, sounds like something a friend of ours will love:-)- left Thomas the tank engine and snow globe carriage. Thanks for the cache.

30 2008-01-13 00:00 One Badger (user activity3) - Found it

Logging on Opencaching.com on 27 August 2009, though this was found by me on GC.com on 13 January 2008!

Found easily at 10:45 this morning on what was meant to be a rainy day. Thankfully I've returned home dry (which is more than can be said for Jozie the dog!).
I'd located the area shortly after Steamhammer and Heffalump007 had grabbed their FTF (on GC.com), but a thorough search on a very windy and rainy day had proven fruitless - clearly, they'd re-hidden it extremely well
Today being the first opportunity to make a return visit I was hoping it would be easier to find - and it was - can't believe Badger #4 and I didn't spot it before!
The area was very muddy, so my apologies for the muddiness of the log. Picked up Tobi's Koala TB (which wasn't in the GC.com inventory), dropped off Eeyore, Tigger, Piglet and Pooh TB and dipped my travelling coin in for mileage.
TFTC!
