Found this cache a while back but should log it on here. Timing is everything with this cache to avoid being cut off from the land, but an amazing place.

Unable to find the cache so have placed another, there very well may be more than one here. Updated the hint.

I have logged the Groundspeak cache here, but today we passed by. I will return one day and log properly.

Visited with Only the Brave and Dumpster41, none of us could find this one so I left a replacement - but it wouldn't surprise if there are two here now .
I'll update the hint to point to the new one.

Came to this amazing place primarily to do the Groundspeak cache, however we were with the CO for this one, so he did some maintenance and then we found it after.
Thanks for highlighting and directing us to this great place Amberel

Out at this fabulous tower today and after a long search we had to walk away. Will just have to come back another day.

My first Opencache - and what a choice!
A superb location and a terrific bit of old industrial architecture. Really enjoyed exploring the place. Didn't go down into the basement but it looks interesting, something to do in the future.
Cache found after a short search, log book in good condition.

In the company of Amberel the CO but DizzyGirl didn't need his help here. Fab location which I'd visited before. Funnily I know now my previous visit I'd checked the wrong height for this cache so had failed to find the Navicache instead. Did I log a dnf?
Shame this isn't my first opencache as it is a truly great location and the three of us had an amazing time. I know I've found two others but always forget to use the system. I now know so will try harder.
TFTC.

This was the second cache of the day caching with Ursus Bear, Team Postie Grum and young Sandvikans Sharky and Peguin, following on from the TerrcCache nearest to the entrance.
The climb into the fort after crossing the muddy causeway was a tricky challenge - I am amazed that Amberel has achieved it without rope or ladder as it is decidedly difficult. Fortunately, the ropes that Andy had used on his visit to set this cache were still there. Penguin climbed up like an agile salmon but Sharky was more of a walrus, making a 3 course banquet out of it before Mrs Grum kindly helped him out. I, the heartless father, was prepared to watch him struggle for as long as it took him to master the climb! When it was my own turn, I was very thankful for the rope and am pretty certain I'd not have been able to manage without it.
I hadn't suffered vertigo getting in to the fort, although this was where the real danger lay. However, the search for GZ for this cache tested my vertigo at least mildly, and I was rather less than comfortable on getting to the right level, although at GZ itself it was not as if I could actually fall off.
As for the TerraCache, Mrs Postie Grum went beyond the call of duty and climbed in, something which most definitely exacerbated my vertigo, albeit on her behalf. In the end, however, it was Mrs Ursus Bear who found the cache, a torch once again proving invaluable. Again a prisine log was to be found and fortunately, on this occasion, the magnet had performed its role correctly.
Many thanks for another excellent cache, Sandvika #1989

Our main reason for visiting Grain Tower Battery was the terracache but as there were other caches available at the same location we had to find them too.
We were glad to see the tide was well out when we arrived which confirmed we had read the tide timetable correctly. The mud we collected on our boots made the climb a little slippery when we reached the tower. We were glad of the rope to help us up.
After our success of finding the terracache we headed up a level confident of finding this one. We searched and searched inside and out. Shirely even climbed in to get a different view. Persistance paid off as we finally found it, nicely tucked away from view.
Thanks for a great cache.
