We arrived here more or less on the tail of the bad weather - we had donned our wet weather gear before setting off on our walk, but for most of the way it was dry.
Slightly mixed feelings on the cache itself. The OpenCaching guidelines say of virtuals:

Virtual caches are permitted on opencaching.org.uk, but should be employed sparingly. They should be used only where there is a special reason for placing a cache but where a physical cache is undesirable.
If possible the element of searching should be retained - some information that cannot be obtained using the internet, and preferably requires at least some effort to locate, should be used in conjuction with the log password feature.

There was certainly scope for placing a physical cache here, rather than a virtual, and there was no element of searching at all. So in caching terms I felt this was rather disappointing. On the other hand, it brought us to the country park where we had a most enjoyable walk through interesting terrain - an area we would not have visited without the "cache" being here.
I had upgraded my iPhone to ios6 just before leaving, and had noticed a new option on the camera for panoramic views. I tried this out for the first time here, but it wasn't very successful - far too much foreground. Needs more practice
