A wonderful place here, tucked out of the way of the main tourist routes but still busy. Lovely to find an unexpected opencache here.

I was in London to attend the London Calling Mega (hosted on the 'other site') and spent just over two days wandering the streets of the capital finding caches along the way. Last time I was in the area I didn't realise there was an Opencache here. Today I return and spend a little time obtaining the necessary information to log this virtual.

Came to London for the first time since this crazy bug arrived abs spent at first a grey wet morning looking for caches before it turned into a glorious sunny afternoon. Found whilst completing the lab cache.

I was in London for the day, but didn't have to much time for caching. Luckily enough I was passing this virtual so quickly grabbed the required info

EN: By now it is getting dark in London, but the sunny day has left a lot of heat.

At home I had already discovered this ship during the travel preparation and now I am standing in front of it. A beautiful sailing ship made of wood.
Unfortunately the access is closed, but from the outside it looks well and colorful.

Thanks for the cache
Micha

Micha

Visiting England on a work trip and staying in London from Tuesday to Friday. I was invited to a conference in London so I had the chance to spend most of the spare time geocaching. As virtual caches are so rare elsewhere, they were the highest priority, but I found some other caches, including a group of challenge caches near the O2, as well. The weather was mostly overcast with no rain, perfect for geocaching. I love visiting this country, just being here makes me happy as I have lots of good memories from here. This was the first time I had the chance to see The Shard from the ground level, even though I have seen it from the plane window before, and I spent lots of time walking on the Thames walk. Because of the large amount of caches found, I use this standard log with any extra comments added in the end.

After the conference ended on Tuesday evening, I decided to go after the geocaching.com virtual cache GCGV9G "Central London team quest 2". I found that virtual cache, and after visiting the final location on my way back I visited this ship as well. While there, I took the usual amount of photos, so I had one of the ship and one of the sign in question as well, so I am logging this one as found on the date of my visit to the site. Thank you for the virtual cache!

---(2016-10-06 15:28:01---(Find 8818)---
Today was Day 20 of my Thames Path walk, this time from Wandsworth to Bermondsey. I enjoyed a pleasant walk through the regeneration of Battersea with its accompanying diversions away from the river, the pleasant oasis of Battersea Park, and the crowds along the South Bank.

We logged the original Groundspeak cache here in 2005 so already had the answer to the question. I always find this area very claustrophobic because of the narrow alleys, though one does get a sense of what the past must have been like.

Thanks for the cache.

We were on a day trip to London to visit The View at the Shard, and as this was nearby, we decided to head to the Golden Hinde and look for the nearby caches.

The required information was quickly found and some photograhs taken.

Oh dear, I didn't see there already is a GC.com cache nearby...
Anyway, I believe another virtual OC-Only won't hurt :)
I'm happy you liked it :)

Having recently seen this one published I realised I already knew the answer - this location is one stage of a TerraCache multi that I've already completed. But as I was visiting a customer in London to do a "night shift" I visited here again, on the way, and took a photo (no GPS in the shot, the camera was the GPS).

Despite being dusk, the place was heaving with people. There is a Groundspeak cache here too, but it had a bike chained to the railing right in front of it, and hundreds of people sitting within a few feet, so I didn't bother looking for that one - certainly a location where the virtual is easier.

Having loaded the photos, it's clear they really aren't worth bothering with - the sky looks blue, but actually it was nearly dark, and the quality is very poor - I'll leave them here for now, but remove them when another finder posts better ones.

Thanks for the cache, great location,

Rgds, Andy
