The family and I had a rare day where we were all off together so decided to explore Sidmouth as we had never been here before. Whilst the others went to grab some lunch I had a go at accessing the webcam to log this cache.

Thanx for setting and bringing us to this lovely location.

On our way to west Devon and stopped in Sidmouth for a break.

Worked fine on an iPhone, i just selected the JPEG option.

You can tell it is us because of Mrs. A’s white hair ;-)

Visited today, intrigued to locate the webcam, soon spotted looking down on us. Used a friend to capture us (photo to follow) and took photo just for the record. Incredibly great weather and hence very busy today.

For us, 2016 was a bad year for caching - we'd lost our mojo. I think it was doing the Compass Series in a weekend and sitting back and realising how pointless caching had become. So here we are spending Christmas in Sidmouth without a car so what better way to add some excitement to the walks that to find a few caches along the way. I checked c:geo and there was a webcam cache! How can this be? Then I remembered that the app also logged onto opencaching and all was explained.

So there we are. The webcam lens needs cleaning but we're standing next the the crossing: Michelle in aqua and Riley standing in front of her and me to her left. Ted was still in bed!

Although we first signed up with Opencaching about 5 years ago, we only got our first find yesterday, near our home in Bristol.

Prior to comng back to our caravan in Sidmouth I had another browse around the web-site and spotted this webcam....and was very surprised to see that it had been published just over a year ago and still had no finds!

This evening we combined a drive into Sidmouth for fish and chips, with capturing our photo from the webcam.

The photo shows me sitting on the wall between the crossing and a pile of deckchairs, with Swash standing, and waving beside me.

By the way....it appears that Android phones/tablets cannot be used either, as they no longer support Flash. We had to take our netbook, and use our phone as a wifi hotpot, to access the internet.
