Even when parking as close as is possible, it's still about half a mile to GZ! Found on second visit, now that the box has been replaced. T4TC, Spacebat

Needed a stroll after driving to Manchester and back yesterday with the dogs in the car! As this has been on the radar since finding out about opencaches and visiting some excellant ones on Dartmoor I decided that we would visit it today. We set off from Ash, up to the river, over the fascinating footbridge and had a lovely walk down to this fabulous and interesting spot. The dogs were particularly happy as they had 6-7km off the leads with no problems whatsoever. We saw so many different species of birds - I have no idea what they were but not the sort you see everyday. All is well at the cache - thankyou for setting it and bringing me back here again. Will probably finish off the afternoon with some of the other type of caches around Ash.

I was on the A303 on my way from Devon to Salisbury so thought I'd pick up this cache. Turning directly off the dual carriageway to get to the parking space was somewhat interesting. Thankfully the gate was unlocked and I could safely proceed away from the mad rush of the A303 without mishap. When I arrived at the bridge the cache was soon found and although there are no other online logs, there were two signatures in the actual log book, dashing my hopes of a First to Find. I then walked across the Pill Bridge and can see why it is a Scheduled Monument. Well worth the visit. I wasn't brave enough to return to the A303 the same way as I had left it and crossed over the dual carriageway to the village and live to see another day. GH.
