The Vulcans made it well worth running the gauntlet, but now that they have been teleported to an unknown planet, the theme is rather too tenuous. After much deliberation ... beam me up, Scottie.

A couple of stages are missing. One has probably succumbed to local fauna and could be replaced, but the other is more significant and is irreplaceable; it was the inspiration for the adventure and has certainly succumbed to human intervention. It could be worked around with a photographic record, but I’ll wait a bit to think it over.

Went out at twilight for a stealth attempt at this with insertcure. We found the first stage quickly, worked out some reasonable coordinates for the second and headed off to the next stage. Here we had no luck and must have been wrong with what looked like a possible location. Hopefully we can work out where we went wrong soon.

I made it to the first stage without issue and soon found the required information, but i struggled with the complicated mathematics required for full disclosure of my next destination. I radioed for help to two potential sources and as I continued to search for the answer I was discovered by the local warlord. I was overpowered before being able to employ my nerve-pinch. Some quick talking on my behalf, espousing the quality of the local architecture and engineering, calmed him and his party, but I was escorted back towards my ship. By the time we parted I had developed an accord with the warlord and may be able to revisit my mission in a more ambassadorial role, but I fear another clandestine attempt on my part will not go down well with the him...

Epilogue: On my return to my home planet I was contacted by one of my contacts who revealed that "it is not a minus". I really must stop overcomplicating things!

That is indeed sad news.

A sad day, even for Vulcans.  LLAP

Wiltshire, the final frontier.  These are the voyages of the carship Enterprise.  Its continuing mission ...

Having mind-melded and solved our befuddlement, BradLad and I teleported back to where we ground to a halt on our previous mission.

Once again, in darkness, we crept into potentially hostile territory and I was a little nervous when I realised that I was wearing a red jacket.  Bizarrely, it appeared that the Goa'uld were in the process of organising a cross country race, but we didn't come across any terrestrial or extra-terrestrial entities on our adventure, although we did come across a bat encased in an Invasion of the Bodysnatchers cocoon (although it might have been the nearby spider's).

Having discovered the alien craft and retrievied the intricate treasure, we broke cover and returned via the Goa'uld landing site.

In hindight, I'm not sure that this log is a dramatic enough account of what it's like to be a galactic adventurer.  I think that this better sums it up.

Fascinating

Captain antpeng should not have been deterred when he detected our craft in a parking orbit.  Before he had dropped out of warp, BradLad and I transported down and began our mission.

We discovered some interesting artefacts but then a federation directive bemused us.  We attempted some reverese engineeringin the field but some promising coordinates did not allow us to track the Goa'uld any further.  After making many recordings with our sensors, and with our transporter malfunctioning, we were forced to retreat on foot and under the cover of darkness.

As my craft came out of hyperdrive I observed a hostile ship already at the coordinates. I had no idea how far behind I'd be, I was still coming to grips with my recent tri-corder upgrade, and I knew that although only one log would be made I was outnumbered 2 to 1. I knew I would be up against superior forces so decided discretion was the better part of valour. I live to fight another day - and after all the cache is called Live Long and Prosper.
