In the area today called in to log this one - a quick find - rather blowy in the pass today. Now to cross the river - mind you it looks as if it will be an easy one today. TFTC

After an absence of visitors for about 2 years I went straight to the hide, signed the log and noted the bonus information. I am one step closer to completing this series. TFTC

Grrrr, it seems we walked right past this one yesterday. Another excuse for a return visit

Found after a short search, on a 14-mile walk from Batworthy Corner on a mild day.

Apologies for the extremely late log - making a determined effort to rectify our lax logging on Opencaches, using geocache logs from our aging Garmin and photographs from our archives if available.

TFTC.

On our way up the East Dart today, we stopped off briefly in Sandy Hole Pass to look for this cache.  Hubby found quickly and was very pleased with himself.  Despite not being found for over a year, the cache is in good condition and the log book is dry.

Noted the bonus information. One day, we might get around to this series more seriously :)

Two weeks ago Dartmoor Dave posted that he was intending to go for a walk on the moors as far as to Fur Tor Pool following the East Dart river on the way out and coming back more towards the West. An offer was made for anyone to join him and the only takers were myself ad Ping68. As the day in question got closer we cancelled as the weather forecast wasn't good and we decided to reschedule for today as this fitted most of us with work commitments ( I had none, Paul had to be back at his car by 1615 (which caused a change in plans later) in order to get back for work and Judy firmly had the reigns at The Cherrybrook). The only thing we hadn't looked into was the range firings for that day. We started the day with a hearty breakfast (thank you Judy) before heading out. Well if the weather wasn't good two weeks ago, I don't know what today's counts as? We have started in the snow, although it doesn't seem to be settling too much.

Dave had this loaded on his machine (understandably, as the CO) and pointed me in the right direction.

Called in today to complete this series of DC open caches, thanks to CO for setting this challenge which I have thoroughly enjoyed. On route for Fur Tor, weather has held off so far but not looking good - for the third year on the trot. Many thanks.

Thanks nice quick find. Had a deliberation here. Was too early to go home, so decided to go to Teignhead .  Got a boot full of water crossing the river, had to go was not in a position to retreat. Never mind, such is life. A good walking day, and not a person in view.
