My first cache today. I was planing on doing the whole geopath, but was forced back after Cranmere Pool because I couldn't find a way over the very wet bog. July in England was more like November with all the rain. 1 and 2 I found while out for something else in the area.

I am sure I shall get there eventually. TFTC

A lovely day and great views.  Another find without any issues and still on target for today's caching plan.

Many thanks.

No problem here except I couldn't remember the date and the GPS bumping against the rucksack had gone into a strange mode from which I couldn't at first coax it. Such is life.   Beautiful views only slightly marred by a little mist in the distance.  Many thanks for this one as well.

There was a Koala Bear GeoKret in this cache that I had already seen and moved quite a long time ago! Picked him up again and just shuffled him along one ;-)

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy

An added excitement for me here as I saw a group of camoflaged soldiers making their way up Yes Tor from the other side-I don't think they clocked me. TFTC

Glad I'd remembered to add some Opencaches to my Garmin at midnight last night, always nice to turn one up. Easy find here.

I am one step closer to completing the Dartmoor Challenge. In all honesty I doubt that will ever happen given I have so many part-completed Dartmoor series but one can dream! No problems with this cache, all is well here. TFTC

Out for a walk round the 'roof of Devon' today, picked up 6 geocaches plus 2 opencache 'bookends' - started and finished my day with opencaches! wink This was the first find of any plastic container today after ascending Yes Tor by my preferred route, starting from the car park near West Mill Tor. After taking some photos, both in my normal style, and one of some people who wanted their photo taken with the trig, it was over to GZ for a quick find of the cache. Bonus info noted (whoop whoop! I remembered!). Thanks for the cache smile

My sister was visiting and I'd earmarked a trip up Yes Tor and High Willhays for the great views for her - and a Dartmoor Challenge cache for me.  On approach to the carpark, High Willhays was already in cloud but neither of us wanted to change our decision and we hoped for the mist to lift.

Sadly it was not to be.  By the time we were on West Mill, the cloud had dropped further and the wind was whipping up and conditions were a little unpleasant.  Never mind we continued, stopped briefly to pick up this cache, which was in perfect condition, and another at High Willhays before dropping down out of the cloud over Fordisland ledge and Black Tor.  A good day in the end and a sense of achievement!

The last of six Dartmoor Challenge Open Caches found today, found after a short search.

Apologies for the extremely late log - making a determined effort to rectify our lax logging on Opencaches, using geocache logs from our aging Garmin and photographs from our archives if available.

No idea why I didn't log this one at the same time as the other five!?

TFTC.

My first OC on a day out trying to gather as much info for a few challenge and mystery caches.  There was a GS cache located nearby, so I managed to kill 2 birds with one stone.  It was a nice easy find, and as is usual with DD, the co ords were spot on.

I retrieved the bonus info, but now need to work out what I do with it.

Many, many people around here but none at this spot. Quickly located the cache and logged it. The log has many more visitors than who have logged on this site. Think many are chance finds. Now back to the car after a very enjoyable but tiring day!

Thanks, this was our first cache of the day. Such a lovely day yesterday,  but unfortunately unable to go out to play. Quickly found.

A lovely walk today up to the highest part of the moor with some great views from the top, very windy up by the trig. Is that a mobile phone mast on the flagpole?  Cache found quickly and it was off to the next.
