No trouble here before heading off towards Fur Tor.

Slogged my way up the hill. Found the cache quickly, then up to the low rocks on the top for a few minutes rest.

Myself and NSCR had a rare free day together and had decided to head out on to the Moor. Deciding where to go is always difficult. Dartmoor Dave suggested his new series which mainly comprises of open caches. That series is 13 miles long, today I walked 14 miles and only made a small dent in it before we decided to call it a day due to the weather.

NSCR had previously been here, so didn't need to log it. He did take the opportunity to drop off a geokret.

I checked on this whilst passing and didn't immediately find it.  I widened my search slightly and realised it had been moved. Probably a better hide so I have left it there and slightly amended the coordinates.  The cache and logbook were also rather wet, so I replaced the whole cache.

I planned to take a train to Okehampton, cycle to OP15 and walk around Great Kneeset and Cranmere Pool. The weather meant that my plans were delayed by 24 hours and I ended up driving to Rowtor with the bike in the car.

Like Hevva before me I took the steep route up from the West Okement valley (where amazingly I picked up 4G to download the coordinates of these Opencaches) and after finding the GC cache nearby I headed across to this one which was a lot easier. Yet more bonus information was collected and then I went on my way.

Slogged up  up the hill from the West Okement. Found the cache quickly and sat on the soft mattress in the sunshine for our lunch. Such wonderful views! And we've never been here before either-  so that made it extra special. Thank you for bringing us here - we might not have made it without the incentive. Surprisingly for such a remote place, it was sadly very busy and noisy!

The fourth of six Open Caches found on a 14 mile walkabout on the northern moor, found quickly 50 minutes after leaving Cranmere Pool.

The weather is fine, but chilly when exposed to the breeze.

It only seems a short while ago I was here caching up top, time goes so fast, thanks for another great OC, working through the list slowly. Now to plant a new letterbox for this marvellous place.. tftc
