Here I needed the spoiler photo and it still took a while to get to the cache. While dealing with the cache I spotted a sheep looking at me from under some stones. I went and investigated, as I always do for animals, and it was stuck. The "exit" wasn't big enough for it to come out and it was too stupid to back out or turn around. It was stuck for quite a while and limped off with sore back legs.
After sliding into a not very nice entrance, full of poo and pee, I've managed to drag it out. Poor thing.

This was my last cache of the day, found at about 6pm, just before setting up camp for the night. I woke up to a nice sunrise the following morning,  with odd patches of mist blowing through. As I was sitting on a rock eating breakfast I spotted a very nice letterbox under a rock nearby. I savoured the early morning quiet for a while before headed off on my caching mission at about 10am.

Myself and NSCR had a rare free day together and had decided to head out on to the Moor. Deciding where to go is always difficult. Dartmoor Dave suggested his new series which mainly comprises of open caches. That series is 13 miles long, today I walked 14 miles and only made a small dent in it before we decided to call it a day due to the weather.

Nick located this as I was looking at the wrong hint item. I hadn't realised that there was a spoiler picture, I'm not used to that on Dartmoor ????????

Today is the day that Dixie Gooner and I take on the Dartmoor Geopath. The forecast is not great but what do the met office know.

The weather is changing now and the coat is on. Lines Tor is another spot I have not been to. What a glorious spot.

Thanks Dartmoor Dave for the cache.

I seem to be adding considerably to my collection of Dartmoor Challenge data on this walk - I shall have to go through them all and see how many there are left to do in order to calculate the final!

I didn't make a note of it, but I think this was one where I had a bit of a struggle to get the big box out of its hidey hole! I certainly picked up a couple of skinned fingers somewhere round this point ;-)

Thanks for the cache,

Rgds, Andy

My second recommendation in as many caches. This good sized box is hidden well, the area has great views and everything is in perfect condition despite one of the four clips on the box being broken.

I look forward to seeing what this geopath malarkey is all about! TFTC

Found just before lunch at half way of a lovely ramble out to Lints Tor from Bridestowe. Quite a whopper!!!! but still had to try several places before we found it. TFTC

My first visit to Lints Tor and my ascent was to be from the West Okement, up the western slope through the clitter, and to this cache first! Always good to tick off another Dartmoor Challenge cache, though I'm struggling to work out what the GP stands for here! An amazingly large cache which proved to take a little while to spot, but that's the name of the game with these caches! Stunning views up the valley here, now time to go and see what the actual tor has to offer...

Made our way over here from Kitty Tor,  gingerly crossing the West Okement below the Tor. A steep climb ensued and the regulatory clitter field identified. I made my way to exact GZ, meaning to put down my bag a rest a bit before starting a long and ardouus search.  Bag down, turn around and there it was. Hubby didn’t stand a chance. Woo hoo point to me.

First find in over 2 years! What do you call that again - a reboot or some such thing?

Lovely to have an excuse to return here as have only visited once before - this is probably hubby’s favourite Tor!

The fifth of six Open Caches found today, and this is the third where I'm the first finder this year!

The cache was found after a short search, and I was soon on my way to Yes Tor.

I like to say this was a quick find, but it wasn't, considering the size! First cache of the day going out to Kneeset then back around Yes Tor, weather very cloudy but dry ish, thanks DD for this great spot.

Met up with D here, and despite the "clitter" he found the cache quickly.
