After doing a geocache on Smith Hill I came here to see if I was correct with my assumption.

I am just too bad in and can't find Rippon Tor opencache, even though it has been found recently and replaced by the CO.

Ah well, as I had been out collecting the other caches in this series, and went to some twice (rolling eyes) because I hadn't noted the bonus number down, I now had enough numbers to make an educated guess.

After a shortish (for me anyway) search a very nice large cache was found. It is in super condition.

Now, will I ever be able to find Rippon Tor????

Pleased to find this as the last cache of the day, rewarding our efforts to complete this Challenge during this visit to Dartmoor now that we've broken into Opencaching.

A quick find in the early evening thanks to the customary accurate co-ordinates.

Apologies for the extremely late log - making a determined effort to rectify our lax logging on Opencaches, using geocache logs from our aging Garmin and photographs from our archives if available.

As it cleared up today thought we needed to get some fresh air. Had all the required numbers earlier in the week and judged where it would be as we left Rippon Tor. We were right as we drove past as it was getting dark. Co-ords were spot on which made once again for a quick find. Thanks for the challenge.

Thanks once I started this trail yesterday, decided had to finish it.  Forecast was not what I had heard, but didnt get too wet. Each cache I found the weather was dry so no making COs log wet.  I probably would not have enjoyed doing it on New Years Day, because of the nature of the RACE element, but certainly enjoyed doing it my way, as it did involve some walking and a bit of thinking about, and DARTMOOR. Thanks again. Took Geocoin.

:) FTF:)Our final ftf of the day, and the end of the challenge, log signed at 1pm. Thanks once again for setting a great series of caches to find, and the obligatory soaking, at least it must work off some of those Christmas calories  - now for the cream tea!
