Out around here again today for a lovely walk ..didn't spot this one straight away even though I was looking in the correct spot but it is definitely there and our name is now on the log

Out with the CO today for the annual New Years Day geocache/letterbox meet on Fur Tor. A misty dry day with a clear spell sandwiched in the middle! Cache is in good condition considering the excessive rain this winter.

Found soon after finding the nearby cache listed on the mainstream website.
The log is still damp but I was able to sign it with a light touch.

i found this one nice and easily. The cache is a little soggy but i can still write on the log. i tried to dry it out as best as i could.

Called in today to check cache. Molly came too (13 years old). Cache slightly damp and floating-no surprise with the recent weather. Please prop up at top end of hidey hole to keep out of the water.

It was absolutely glorious in the early morning sun when we set off from the car and we felt the day was set to be one of those "red letter days".
And it was! We visited Fur Tor on our way over to this cache - and are pleased to report we are only the second to find!
The cache is in good order and we replaced as found.
Now to find our way out of here:)

FTF I really have to apologise for the very late log on this cache. I can't believe that I forgot to log this, although the log might have been lost when we lost the web site. I am also amazed that nobody else has logged it since.
I remember the day well as it was when I was searching for hides for my Somewhere on Dartmoor Too series of caches, and there is always a cache near Fur Tor, one of my favourite spots on Dartmoor. Having found the hide I wanted I came on down to this cache and then on to Sandy Ford where I placed a new cache.
So many thanks for placing in one of my favourite spots and my apologies once more
