Managed to get a day off work and so decided to bring Cheeky_Chimp over here for a stroll.  No problem with the info and plotting the final, where cache was found after a short stroll

In the area today so we decided to come and pick this cache up.

Worked out where we needed to go and had a nice stroll.
Very well hidden and took a while to spot but we found it in the end.
Signed and replaced as found

I had run out of time a month or two ago when I did think I might get to the two St Ann's Hill Opencaches that i hadn't done. Today though I was here for another of the owner's caches so it worked out well not having done them before. 

 

I had started with the Beacon cache and already had all the numbers for that by the time I got her. Had to test the waters to answer one question but luckily it was quite shallow. Once at GZ it did take a little while to find the cache, but got there in the end.

The wheels came off as I went after this cache as I had forgotten to note the location of the Well.

Rang the CO who gave me the co-ords....... thanks Andy.

When I put them into my GPS, I found the Well was only 120 feet from where I was standing!!

Collected all the necessary in order to work out the cache location.

Went 'off piste' down hill to GZ.

A warning here, don't be tempted to stand on fallen tree trunks........they're very slippery, and I have the bruises to prove it .

I searched around for quite a while without success before I checked the Hint.

I was in the correct place but on the wrong side of it!

Finally found the box which was very well hidden,

When replacing the cache it seemed that it might slip in to the hide hole further than was intended, so I put in some extra material to hopefully prevent this happening.

Back to the geocache listing
